Western Digital Elements Desktop 2TB 3.5" USB2.0 - Black $109.00

90

First post (Please advise if I've made a mistake. Ta.)

Office works is selling the hard disk at $129. Centrecom is selling it at $119. I took the Centrecom printout and ask OW to price match. Got it at $119 - 5% = $113.50.

Not a bad deal for a WD drive even though it only supports up to USB 2.0.

Update:
Changed price in title to $119 as suggested.

price matching is not a bargain. put the price at 119

    • Them's the rules.

      • its confusing. op links to centrecom but has officework's matched price in the title
and he did ask for advice if a mistake was made

        • Thank you all. Sorry, I'm still new at this.

Yes, I wanted to post two links but am not sure how to do it through the Ozbargain website.

For the same price product, I would prefer to buy from OW as they have stores everywhere and it would be easier to return something if it goes faulty. That is why I put this post in.

  • Don't think it's such a good bargain. HN has stickered price of $119.99.

Some months ago the HN Auburn, NSW store was doing a "external HDD promo". I think they were mainly trying to flog off their Samsung 2TB drives - going then for $89(I think?). I went with a friend to get two drives, spoke to their staff, and managed to get this same drive (manager-type guy says it's a once-off) for $85!

Guy at checkout had to confirm with manager, said he was going to get one when he finishes his shift.

  • will wait till they hit 80 bux wont b long now

    • But OOS..

    • ~110 seems to be the going price the last I saw it some weeks ago.

When they do have stock, might cost more,

..or you might get some extras: H2O, TB, … :) [only joking]

    • Come to think of it, when they do get new stock in, they might be USB 3

And, of course, new price (like their portable drives)

  • Anyone know what drive is in these? WD WD20EARX
    Green?

Hi, if we are talking about price matching, I managed to get a 2TB 3.5" Seagate Expansion for $100 at Officeworks, might help some people considering the crazy original price of $180.
