    • $5.95 delivery for me (VIC)

      • $5.95 delivery for me also (SYD)

  • +5

No, sorry - it costs us $9.20 per bag for the standard shipping with AustPost and we charge $5.95 for this, so we are already $3.25 down.

    • -7

Surely they would fit in a small bag for less
      https://auspost.com.au/shop/product/parcel-post-small-satche…

And if you have a business account you will get a greater discount

      • +4

Na, you wrong, stop giving people hard time

        • +6

Except I was not giving anyone a hard time.
I was pointing out that they may be paying more than they need to for postage….

And then I pointed out that they might be able to get an extra discount with a MyPost Business account
          https://auspost.com.au/mypost-business

That's the opposite of giving someone a hard time I think.

    • Check out Sendle, might save you a bit on postage.

      • sendle is horrible i would NOT buy something just to avoid it

  • The $5.95 standard shipping charge is flat rate so you can team up with others and simply place a single order for multiple chargers if you wish. Hope this helps.

  • +2

Thank god this is future proofed for USB4!

  • +1

Will this work with a macbook?

    • +1

It will charge all of them, but the 15" and 16" models may use more power than the charger produces.

  • Yes they really are top quality chargers - we are just rationalising the range. We will just be retaining the 2 x USB-C + 1 x USB GaN charger. All our chargers take the same plug heads so you can buy EU & UK heads and they will fit any of our chargers.

  • Yes absolutely ideal for a MacBook

  • 45w max for c port

    • +2

      USB-C1 output: 3.3V-11V/3A, 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/3.25A MAX
      USB-A output: 4.5V/5A, 5V/4.5A, 9V/3A, 12V/2.5A, 20V/1.5A MAX
      C1+USB A = 45W+18W, C1+USBA = 45W+15W

Seems to be 65W when only the USB-C is used?

      • +2

OP can you confirm how many W for just usb-c used? would like to use for a Dell XPS 15

        • +3

          65W.

  • You will get 45w at the same time as charging from the second port

  • +1

Thanks guys - we are down to about 20 pieces

  • Ordered :)

  • +3

Just purchased. How do you know that I've come from Ozbargain to know to supply the free USB-C cable?

  • +2

Every order coming through at present is from OzBargain, so we will simply add the USB-C cable to every order - there's only about a dozen left now.

  • Ordered - thanks!

  • My laptop requires 65W charger via thunderbolt charging, would this work? and with what cable? thanks

  • Can the usbc port output at 2A?

  • +2

The cable we are supplying free is just a basic USB-C cable - if you are looking for a high spec 5A 100w rated cable with e-chip then take a look at https://homekitaustralia.com.au/products/100w-usb4-cable - they are around $15 but a very high-spec cable.

  • Down to last half dozen

  • Just what we needed - bought 2…

  • +1

Thanks OP. Purchased. A USB C cable that can change at least 21W would be appreciated (Sony Xperia 5 ii)

    Ta

    • +3

If you'd like to let me know your details I'm going to send you one of our 5A 100w certified cables as a sample. Sound ok?

      • Yep that's great. Look for a Travis in Brisbane. Thanks very much.

  • +2

Just wondering if this is Australian certified? I don't see the RCM mark.

  • 1 piece left

  • +1

I can send the RCM certificate if required - they've just been recently certified

  • -2

Just wondering whether you'd be concerned with the use of an Apple trademark like that?

  • To late :(

  • -3

Isn't 27 units a bit close to insufficient quantities? :-|

    • +9

It is nearly 3x the required quantity

As a general guide, deals with less than 10 items in stock at the time of submission may be unpublished
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…

      • Thanks @spaceflight - I thought the limit was higher and I tried to find the limit before commenting. Neggers gonna neg lol

        • +1

It took me a bit to find it but I was curious what the limit was as I have seen deals before with low stock levels.

Yeah I think they are unnecessary, you had a valid question.

  • +3

Oh ho I thought it was that Homekit.

    • Yeah terrible name, I wonder how Apple feels about it

  • Interested if you have anymore

  • +1

Two of these only cost me around $60 delivered, two USB-C and one USB-A

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000921692246.html?spm=a2g0s…

    • Do they have an RCM certification?

    • +2

24-49 day wait and no RCM certificate

      • +1

The Rock has ETL and UL Japan certifications, but no RCM.

  • USB4

    Doubt

  • Hi Rep, really cut I missed this deal as was looking for similar one. Could you please also do an OZB exclusive deal for the 65w 3x USB Gan charger as well?
    https://homekitaustralia.com.au/products/65w-thunderbolt-3-u…

I'm sure there will be more interest with this as it has 2x USB C ports.

    • Unlikely as this is the new model. The deal was cleaning out the old model.

      • If you don't ask you will never know. This time he has come through with another deal so it was worth asking.

  • +4

All orders have now been shipped except 4 which are going Express Post Friday morning.
    Thanks for all the orders.
We are restocking our dual port 20w GaN chargers by the beginning of February so we will probably run a "welcome back" special. We have several hundred of these coming into stock.
    https://homekitaustralia.com.au/products/20w-iphone-charger
    Thanks everybody.

  • +5

Re 65w 3 port GaN charger - yes, let me think about running something for OzBargain.
We don't have a huge number of these, around 50 pieces.
It would need to be $10 more than today's 2 port special so I'd be interested in your thoughts or feedback.
    Thanks everyone - Keith

    • +1

      Sounds good to me

  • +3

Yes Rock make good chargers but they aren't RCM AU certified and shipping is from China not Australia. (Having said that Aust Post haven't been too brilliant lately.)

  • +2

Thanks Keith for the upgrade to Express Post. Big tick ✅

  • +1

Our pleasure - thanks for the positive feedback

    • +2

Thanks for looking after me with USB 5A 100W USB cable and Express Post for Willyroo. Little gestures like this go a long way in making a lasting good impression and will only benefit your company. I'm only too happy to tell friends and family about my experience.

      Cheers Keith :)

    • can i also get USB 5A 100W USB cable and Express Post some others are getting?

  • +6

We've had a number of requests by email or store chat for the discount to be applied to the 3 port (2 x USB-C, 1 x USB) GaN charger. So here goes - you will need to click on this link -
    https://homekitaustralia.com.au/discount/GAN65OZBARGAIN?redi…
    or simply type in -
    GAN65OZBARGAIN
    at checkout
Both will give you $10 off per 65w 3 port GaN charger.
I've limited this to 30 chargers for those that missed out on the 2 port GaN charger.
    Thanks.

    • Nice one! Again, cracking customer service, many thanks!

    • Does it also come with a USB-C cable ? Thanks for the awesome customer service as usual

    • ordered one; I've been waiting for a great Gan charger with an AU plug - cheers!

    • +1

Was umming and ahhing for like an hour over this, sold out and I thought good.. then you put up a 3 port and I had to have it. Have compared to all the chinese sites and this is just better value with the AU plug. Threw in a 5a/100w cable as well.
One Request, do you have or plan to stock a 3m usbc-c cable that will do 60w/100w? doesnt need to be 40gbs just long!
      Cheers/ Steve @BNE
EDIT: Ah! wish I knew about the cheeky bonus at the end as well! Would of basically been free shipping!

    • The link doesn't seem to apply the discount. Use the code at checkout.

    • Hi, does it supports fast charging?

      Thanks

    • Thanks Keith. Have ordered.

    • I ordered and then tried adding the extra cable to my order but it said promotion expired?

  • Damn I missed it

    • Mate the new one (3 port) is still available, I just ordered one. Also use the code, the link still shows as $49.95

@HomeKit Australia - Keith you got to fix the link & the out-of-stock banner (that is if there is stock when you see this :) )

  • missed it

    • still available. I just ordered one

  • Any more stock coming in?

    • I've put 5 more pieces on OzBargain sale if anyone wants to grab them - I know there were a number of people that missed out.

  • Does the 3 port one include a 5A USB-C cable? Or we need to add $7.48 after ordering to get it? It says ‘Post purchase promotion’ that’s why I need to ask.

    • you need to add the 5a one, it comes with a 0.99c one

      • There was a notice upon completing the order for the 3 port charger which said something about a 5A cable as a thank you but I was in a hurry so didn’t catch exactly what it said. I now notice that if you want the 5A one then you’ll need to add $7.48 to the order to get it. It would be good if they included a 5A cable :)

      • Same here. I saw the notification after the order confirmation.

  • Am I slow to GaN chargers?
(The first time I see it released with the new Xiaomi Mi 11 recently)

You can order from here too
Same product approx $2-3 more shipping

    • Sorry, After I have bought one, it showed OSS. But I made an order though. Just got a confirmation too.

  • Just wondering if this supports USB PD (power delivery) 3.0 for the new Sony Xperia phones to achieve 21W.

    From website "
You will also take advantage of power delivery being 3.0 at 9V 2.22A" so that's only 19.98W max supported for USB PD?

So even though the charger is rated at 65W will it correctly handshake with the Sony Xperia 5 ii to provide the maximum 21W the phone will charge at?

Where it mentions USB-C1 output: 3.3V-11V/3A will it use 7V/3A PD to achieve the 21W?

    Thanks

  • I will check - back to you shortly

  • There's a lot of info about GaN chargers on our website so feel free to read up in the news articles - https://homekitaustralia.com.au/blogs/news
It appears Apple is also about to switch to GaN chargers.
    Botton line is -
Gallium Nitride (GaN) chargers – smaller, faster, cooler, safer.

  • Re the USB-C cable. The answer is yes, select the post purchase for the 50% offer on the premium cable - I'm basically out of the cheaper cable we gave away on the previous promotion.

  • Next response re 5A 100w long cables ….
Yes, we are about to have a cheaper cable but still rated. These will be in stock before the end of the month.
All our cables are from the same manufacturer who has MFI on certain products with Apple. Apple gets about US$4 per cable for every MFI cable, so if you see a cheap MFI cable advertised, it's NOT MFI. I have an MFI contract here and there are lots of other costs as well. Thought you'd like to know.

  • Re adding the cable - just drop me an email and I will get these to you at 50%.
The post checkout offer only lasts for 10 minutes so I guess it is this that happened.

    • Thanks much appreciated

  • +2

In response to the query re the Sony Xperia 5, the factory is telling me it is fully compatible. Of course all our chargers conform with PD 3.0.
If you are concerned about the 65w, there's always the big 100w GaN unit sitting there.
Thanks, hope the question is answered.

  • +3

All chargers have now shipped - thanks for everybody's custom - it is really much appreciated.

  • Oh and I forgot to respond about Sendle. First, it isn't available here and yes I've also seen some pretty poor reviews.
Aust Post is a long way from perfect but they offer the best combination of price and service. We also offer an Express Post option for $3 extra - if you are chasing the goods quickly, my advice would be to select this. Thanks again.

    • Just so you know under each comment is a "reply" link.
If you click that and then type your reply your comment will appear under the comment you are replying to so people know who you are replying to, plus the person you are replying to will get a notification that you have replied.

Received mine today. It's a heck of a lot smaller than the other GAN unit I have, so very happy. Everything seems to work well and no issues :)

    Great deal :)
