Grey market status notwithstanding, would the warranty be valid if I just took it in to an Apple service centre? Apple has international warranty iirc…
It is advertised as a 2 year manufacture warranty, so if they reject you - go complain to catch and they should have your back. If not, false advertising and they're liable.
