Yeah I think they actually offered refunds for PS4. There's some hilariously bad footage on youtube with like poorly rendered quake2 level graphic elements.
It's pretty rubbish on both the 4 / pro honestly. Even on the PS5 it's not great at the moment, but the next gen patch is due in the next few months apparently. If you're really keen to play it, I'd say the PC version is currently the only version I could recommend
It's still a bit glitchy on PC as well, but not to the extent that it ruins the immersion that much.
Actually next gen patch looks to be pushed back until the second half of 2021 :(

Tbh it runs "ok" on SX and PS5 but needs some work. There are some patches coming in the next few weeks that might make things a bit better, but i think their main focus is the base consoles at this stage. Agreed that the PC version is really the best atm, provided you've got a capable enough PC.
next-gen "patch" is officially not due until 2nd half of this year ie. July or later……..

Same for me, played through fine on PS5 with rare occasional crash. The autosave is fantastic though so you just reload and jump back in. Definitely still has bugs and things to be fixed but perfectly playable.

No it's not, but it's great fun as a game, I guess it's just a matter of figuring out if you are okay with that or not. Many games I have bought have had issues, I'm happy to wait for patches if they are game breaking. Currently for me on PS5 I am having loads of fun, and there are no game breaking bugs, I paid $59 and I will get many many hours of fun out of it. I am on PS5 though, from what I've heard from friends, PS4 is terrible.

There's extremely few so far. Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone are what I can think of, off the top of my head. Most devs simply don't have any incentive to patch their old games for PS5.
A game that was previously running at unstable 50-60fps on PS4 Pro and is now running at 60fps on PS5 doesn't count as a "PS5 upgrade" for me, but YMMV.
Not even God of War has had a patch to run at 4K/60fps yet. I'm not going to downgrade to the buggy v1.0 initial release of the game just to get an unlocked framerate.
This doesn't even get into the huge amount of PS4 titles which haven't been updated to display a resolution higher than 1080p. Look at the resetera list and you'll see the majority of titles are still dynamic 4K/30fps or 1080p/60fps on PS5.
Most devs couldn't be bothered to patch their games to utilise the PS4 Pro, and they won't bother to do it for the PS5 either. It sucks, but it is what it is. We'll have to wait for the next gen games and remasters to enjoy the 4K goodness.

I thought it was bad enough on PC, but my god, go and have a look at how unstable the PS4 version is before you buy this.

It's playable, but it's still a blurry mess on PS5. Wait for the next-gen version, or play it on PC if you can.
Blurry? I'm not having any issues with blur? The only issues i have are the ones that will be patches related to random spawnings of cars/traffic. Visually it looks really good on my ps5.
Ehh, it's perfectly playable on PS5. Sure it's got bugs and occasional crashes but I've managed to complete it and all the different endings just fine.
I don't think it was THAT amazing as it's been hyped up but it was certainly enjoyable.

Haha, about 60 hours. Honestly the different endings took more time than rest of the missions combined and were far more enjoyable.
Leaving the platinum for now till the games fixed up a bit and new DLC is released later in the year.

If you like t-posing people floating across the environment, abysmal car handling/physics, ps2 level graphics, game breaking glitches, broken missions etc.
Fallout 76 is the only game in recent memory that was worse on launch, and didn’t even have NPCs to glitch out, such is Bethesda’s Todd Howard genius…….
I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this until all the issues get addressed. It has potential but its decades away from being complete.

The biggest problem with this game in my opinion is not the crashes but the lack of interactivity. This game is years away from being ok (if they decide to put the resources in).
It will drop in price again long before they fix it (if they fix it). Save your money.
You're right - it's hardly a living/breathing city. No random encounters, no interactions between people (besides some scripted dialogue here and there) and no way to interact with the world other than through quests or those blue-icon fights.
Don't mind a slow paced RPG but Night City is pretty dull.
I thought they said those things won't be fixed. They just said they will fix the breaking bugs, then start making content add ons.
I thought they were starting with the bugs and then moving on to finishing the code (ie: vendors, police AI, etc.) as an ongoing fix.
I felt guilty buying this for $40 with VPN but after the mess the game is I think it overpaid now
its been released about 2 years too early- such a shame
