ooh, more identical plastic shit that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. At least when I choke a dolphin with my plastic bag, it's carried some groceries or served some purpose in life.

check this guy's comments everyone, mostly negative/complaining. no redeeming qualities whatsoever. lol
      are you okay mate?

Tell me why a box with a plastic head that does nothing, is something anyone should be interested in?

        • +5

Because everyone has his or her own interests and may get enjoymemt from collecting pop culture items, for example some of their product lines may have nostalgic value or you may just love the specific characters.

It's like saying why would you spend money on an automatic robotic cleaning device instead of doing it yourself…

          Each to their own.

Some of the lines cover some pretty niche areas - where else can I get Home Alone figures, or Married With Children figures for example? Yes there are a lot of generic ones like Disney and Marvel (each to their own if they're into those franchises) but there are a lot of unique ones that offer up collectible, display and nostalgia value that no other product does.

@Saltysez: Less collectable than a (profanity) beanie baby.
1 mould, different shit on their face.
            Keep buying the landfill.

    • Came here to ask if I'm the only person that hates these, I see I'm not. I will admit I do have one (My favorite character so I couldn't resist) and a keychain (Which I was given because the person who gave me it knew I liked that character) but I couldn't see myself buying any more. I have nothing against people that like them, I just don't like the whole giant head style.

It's literally the same toy sold to idiots in 5 million different ways. How it's been successful I'll never know. Geek culture is (profanity) cringey at the best of times.

    • +1

Yes they are a total waste of time and materials but so is everything I collect too.

  • @whichwhatwho

it does annoy me often that they use the same mold most of the time

it's ok when they put a lot of effort in to their clothes hair etc

some have seemingly very little effort into them and it's hard to tell who they are with no context
    example;

but then other times i am amazed that with the little changes I CAN tell who they are. the power of the brain at pattern recognition i guess. maybe it depends on your attachment to the character.

the ones i actually like are the non-humans because they can't use the base mold for those.
and the expensive Moments scenic ones can be pretty cool
