[Used] Xbox One Controller Rechargeable Battery Pack, 2 for $4, Pickup In-Store @ EB Games

450

Got a pair of these at my local. Picked them up and found 1 was an original MS battery and the other an aftermarket brand. Popped them in, charged them up and both seem to work well. Not bad for $2 each.

  • How do these recharge? So you plus usb cable into the wireless controller?

    • Yes you plug a micro-USB cable into the controller to charge them.

Thanks. I'll get some for my son's xbox1 controllers.

These also work in the new series X controllers - just get yourself a usb c cable and away you go.

    • Am I correct in reading that the new Xbox controllers still don't have battery's integrated in them yet ?

Thus need to be cabled ?

      • Cabled or use batteries.

Personally I find the USB C connection better for charging. Seems more robust than the mini connector.

May or may not be offical ones it states

I’m wondering being pre owned how long they will last

    • +2

At $2 im sure its worth the gamble

      • True that

    • I've got one that I bought with the XB1 in 2013 and it still lasts a decent amount of time. Not as long as a brand new one obviously, but for $2 I'd be more than happy with it.

    • Got four of these about 3 years ago when they were $2. Out of those four, three are still running well.

Funny enough, it was one of the official ones that carked it. Still got one official and two aftermarket (no you don't get to choose if you C&C)

Overall, best investment I've made for my Xbox

    • They had a 2 for 1 on the xbox 360 version of these last year, and I got one official and one third party and I found the third party had a slightly longer charge. Cost me 50c haha.

    Nah, too many eneloops already

  • Out of stock in many metro Melbourne stores. Next time…

  • Good deal, but out of stocks! Only available in very far stores :(

  • Out of stock in Perth

EDIT: Originally wasn't letting me comment without marking the deal as expired

  • I find these don't last as long as eneloops, and because I don't play much I often return to them and they are dead

I think these have less capacity than a single eneloop / laada battery.

It's nice to be able to plug the controller in to charge, but they run flat too quickly. I prefer rechargeable AA.

      • it's even more nice to have two sets and just swap them out while one charges and not have to use wires IMO

  • I got these for $1 each pre christmas.

  • Thx OP, hope these work with new wireless controller

  • Wish I bought from a local shop. Don't buy direct from Xbox/Microsoft. Currently in call centre hell after I got a dodgy unit (newer one with USB-C cable) but they sent me back the older (non USB-C) version, and no one can understand what my issue is. Everytime I call the "Hardware Specialist" isn't available .. up to 4 phone calls so far, not including my initial one to start the return process.

  • Picked up a pair today. They didn't fit the xbox series x controller. The type of battery I got are the same as this link https://www.powera.com/product/rechargeable-battery-pack-for…

    • Ahh yeah the ones with the covers do not fit XBX controllers due to different shape. Has to be the battery only version.

If you're on Ozbargain, you'll have Eneloops!
