          The S2721D was $220 for Black Friday :) . Just add $35 for a North Bayou F80 Mount.

            @bargaino: Is the F80 comparable? I own the F80 and was put off buying this monitor, as I couldn't see any screw inserts on the back of the monitor. It appears VESA compatible, but I don't think the mount on the F80 will allow anything other than a screw connection.

                @ivegan: Yes, you remove the panel, and F80 plate fits the recess.

              @OkayFray: What other kind of VESA mount is there?

              I'm looking at a S2721D on the F80 right now. If you look at pics of the back of the S2721D, you will see a square panel that covers the 100mm Vesa mount.

      Good for the price point comparatively, hit the sweet spot for a lot of people in terms of perceivable monitor quality actually. (coming from a person who has recently splurged on quite a nice screen and is disappointed it isnt really that much better than a qhd s series)

          As a graphic designer I don't need ultrasharps for side monitors, just the main one. The others are great monitors for 99% of people and use-cases.

            I have the S2721Q and its a fine monitor. I do not need an ultrasharp, nor do most people.

            I would argue that at a minimum people should buy an IPS panel with a decent PPI but 'ultrasharp or nothing' is some next level PC Gaming Master Race-esque nonsense.

    Is QHD good enough for 27 inch monitors? I have a MacBook Pro. I saw the 27inch 5K iMac in store and it looked gorgeous, that's why I'm not too sure about the QHD. If anyone has them how has your experience been?

      i had a qhd 27" imac for nearly 10yrs and it was fine. wont be as sharp as the 5k obviously but its still better than a 1080 24" in terms of sharpness.

      i just upgraded to the S2721Q and im very happy with it.
