  Alright. So I got all my stuff today. It included a P44 speakers with A100 amp and a S8 sub. I am actually confused with how good they sound. I haven't even burnt them in yet and I can tell you this is the some of the best sound I have heard. Like I'm not a rookie to music either, I enjoy my IEMs and studio monitor headphones thoroughly, and even my mates Rokit 5 setup. But these actually left me confused on how good they sound, like no more to it tbh

    Can you elaborate how these P44's sound compared to your other speakers (or your mate's rokit 5). I'm in the market for some and was considering the Micca mb42x or rb42 if I could find them anywhere, when I came across this post. Have you tried them without the sub (I'm not in a sub friendly environment).Would you say an smsl ad18 would suficiently power them in a medium sized bedroom on a desk setup?

      Yeah so the P44's are actually quite crisp, and the sound stage really impressed me. Note that I don't exaggerate the EQ with my music, usually leave it flat. With that said, I think the P44's sound pretty good without the sub. I would say that bass is "decent enough" - but it all comes down to what you expect from the speaker and what's important to you. P44s with the sub however is something else.

      The P44s do a really good job in the mid and high end, so when you pair it with a decent sub, you're really getting some crazy value for money. I think the P44s alone, is really good, but no where near as good as Rokit 5s, but pair P44 with a decent sub, and I would say the very opposite.

      I think even if you're not in a sub friendly environment, you could turn down the volume of the sub on sub itself, which means that you can crank up the speakers, but the sub volume output is limited drastically, which should help.

      SMSL AD18 should be sufficient (I'm not fully sure), but from as far as I know, the quality of those amps were under under question. That is something you could clarify with @chiefbodge tbh

      But the V100 that Voll sell seem pretty good. Gets way too loud. Usually set my computer to 50%, and the Amp to like 25%, and that there is already pretty loud. I haven't maxed out the Amp yet because its just way too loud. I haven't felt any over heating either, which is nice

        Thanks for the reply. I'll see how much I like the bass output and get a sub later if I don't think its enough. I don't generally listen too loud so the ad18 should be fine then. Also do you mean the a100 amp cause I couldn't find anything on the v100.

          and yeah if you think the bass is lacking, highly recommend playing with the EQ before trying to purchase the sub if you wanted to save some cash.. it's defs not better than a dedicated sub obviously, but it could be enough depending on what you want :)

    Received mine today and the quality is very good for the price. They look sturdy and well built. I am using them as rear speakers for my home theatre setup. Now on a hunt for a good center speaker. If the rep has any good recommendations for the center speaker, I will look into it.
