  • How do these compare to a proper T series "Thinkpad"

    • +1

I should say, you will not like then if you use Thinkpad T series.
This does not have sleekness, roll cage tech and they look ugly.
The keyboard looks the same though.
A plus for Windows prof. and a laptop so cheap.

Misleading Title. Its $594 before cashback.
    OP please fix title.

    • And the cashback is a bit hit and miss. I submitted 20 claims between June and August this year and I'm still waiting on 5 or 6.

Lenovo aren't very responsive to e-mails when trying to chase up either.

      • I got both my $600 ($1200) lenovo cash cards last month all ok.
The missus was happy, already spent :(

no number pad = no sale

    • But very few people use number pad.

      • errr, tell that to business users or anyone who does accounts, or for that matter anyone who prefers to use the number pad as arrow keys for gaming etc.

I just don't think you have tried or needed a number pad yet. Frankly I thought they were finally becoming standard on just about all notebooks 15" and over.

        • Yes, you are right. I never used that.
But yea, they are standard in almost every business or home users laptop these days.

  • Number pad is a must if you are doing any sort of accounting.

  • Why can't I put my account number in? It keeps saying that it's not a valid number???

    • coz there's no number pad. Lol. :\

  • How did you buy it thivankads? Your link, pricing and product details suggest you may have went to e-Volve which doesn't allow private customers access to their website - only business and corporates. It seems like the powerbuy website doesn't actually sell the products.

    • Hey, I just filled in the "request a quote" and they sent me a quote, checked it and ordered it. Was easy as and got the cash-back by bank deposit a week or so later.

      • Hi,

May I know what spec you're getting and how much did you pay for it? Thanks.

  • Does the $200 moneyback apply if you buy directly from the Lenovo site? If so you could get a Thinkpad Edge E520 for $299! ($499 -$200 moneyback). TGTBT?

  • Note that this is a "Business only deal" - so you will need an ABN.
Also on the Lenovo web site Edge models have 320GB 5400rpm disk drives, not the 500GB 7200rpm of previous deals.

    • It says business only but if you request a quote and get it from e-volve you can still get the cash-back. I did it without an ABN. :)

  • Not for me, they want way to much information for my liking.
