It's flat rate postage so would be a better deal if you need/want more then one.
Shipping is from Taiwan and fairly fast, recently purchased a cooler from them and it arrived in 5-6 days.

I want one for my PS5

  • OOS for aus

    weird try this

i don't care how good a fan is $40 for a fan is a joke.

    • +2

You've never had a proper fan if you haven't had Noctua fans, they run so quiet.

    • +1

Blade profile, accurate cfm reports, and bearings that last Well over 15 years.

There are competitors if you're willing to research specific models, and make sure you get nsk bearings and such; but part of the appeal is that every noctua fan is already "top of the line".

I've had to replace every fan in my systems over the last 10 years, but zero noctuas have failed.

Their industrial line is even waterproof.

I'm sure there's a good chunk of markup, but when you buy " the best" you do pay a little premium for that assurance.

    • it's only a joke if you paid that amount and it lasted a year.

my noctua fans was from the cpu cooler for a new i7-2770k in a fractal design r2. you can work out how long ago that was.

same noctua fans that i cleaned up and stuck into my PC-O11 dynamic case. still as silent as ever.

good luck with your jokeless fan. ;)

I've had my noctua fans for many many years without a single problem. They are quiet and I run them 24x7. I paid for quality so I never have issues.

Hoping for the return of the "$10 per fan" Antec deal.

  • I would rather get 2 SilverStone 120R ARGB fans.

    • +1

You can buy 3. centrecom sells it at $15

  • Tried a couple different higher end fans before landing on Noctua, they really are the best. Pretty arguable whether they're actually worth it, but I'm very happy with how well mine perform for how little noise they make.

    • I think lifetime Is what seals it for me.

My noctua fans from 2006 are still going strong; followed me in every PC build I've done, and all my pc's have been 24/7 systems; so however many hours 15 years is, is the life so far without bearing noise or play.

  • Haha I have half a dozen sitting in a box after retiring a couple of PCs, they ran fine for years but there are lots of alternatives that can produce greater static pressure for less noise - they really stood out a decade ago, but there's quite a lot of better priced competition out there these days ;-)

      Can we get some examples?

Artic P12, usually around $50 for 5 fans pack (out of stock frequently unfortunately, single fan around $15), match noctua in both performance and quietness.

        • Is that the pwm version?
Amazon reviews saying that there is a whine at some rpm. No anti vibration pads or screw threads. I’m all for good and cheap alternatives, but I don’t think most fans matches noctua fans.

          • +2

@slowmo: Can confirm, every now and then i get a vibration noise. Must be at a certain RPM only happens now and then but it's annoying.

      example please.

They would have to be the absolute pinnacle of the fan world because they are the ugliest thing I've ever seen ..baby poo brown…Urghhhhhh

    • +1

Industrial series are grey; but are less targeted to low noise and more to flow.

      And LTT editions are orange.

Really though; while ugly, it's part of being distinctive.

If you're in the overclocking and cooling 'scene' Its like the Lexus badge on your Toyota; it lets people know you bothered/felt it necessary to splash out on the top of the line.

    • chromax is their answer.

although unless you opted for tempered glass cases, you won't see that iconic brown.

  • My oldest Noctua fans are the NF-F12 from 2009. Still going strong even though they were run 24x7.

  • This is not that cheap a deal as the NF-A12x25 PWM was AU$36 in mid 2020.

    • Have you been living under a rock the past year?

      • No, but if you search and stay aware, you will find the real deals. I have 4x NF-A12x25 all bought from this same seller (Newegg-Noctua Taiwan) all in 2020 during the height of COVID and it was still cheaper than today's price.

I bought my AIB 3080 locally here for $1139 on launch night and 5900x locally too for $859 in December. Last I checked, this was Ozbargain and not OzRegularPrice.

        • These days it's OzInstockImpulseBuyGoGoGo

  • I still can't fathom them at that price.

I went for Arctic P12 PWM PST fans instead (you can get non PST if you prefer).

$16.15 for the black/transparent PWM PST variant.

Only catch is; if you need to replace them within the 20 years that my noctuas have lasted, you're almost at the same price point.

However with added effort of breakdown, repair/replace and shipping times.

Not as a criticism, purely as observation, but a lot of people purchase just expecting things to not last these days.

I'm not the only one in this topic alone with this same 'lifespan', so I'm not an outlier.

But to each their own :) some people like new things. Some people like keeping “retro' things working.

  • OOS now
