ASUS Vivobook X509JA-EJ159R $570.95 Delivered (Was $1326.95) @ Trinity Connect via Kogan

880

Noticed this on pricehipster.

Specs from title description:
39.6 cm (15.6")
1920 x 1080 pixels
10th gen Intel® Core™ i5
8 GB
512 GB SSD
Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
Windows 10 Pro Grey

Fulfilled by Trinity Connect which still has this model listed directly on thier website at $1312.08

Unsure if this is a price error, and even more confusingly the product description references an 8th gen i7 as opposed to the 10th gen i5.

If not a price error seems like a great deal as other retailers are still listing at above the $1k mark.

description says 8th gen i7, heading says 10th gen

    ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    • If you look on the Trinity website under more information the full specs are there. It's the 10th gen i5 as mentioned in the title description

    • Yeah seems strange, though specs for that model can be found at other retailers (and on Trinity Connect site directly) referencing the 10th gen i5. Assume they missed updating the description part of it correctly

heading says 8GB ram and description says 16GB.

      • +3

        "…with up to 16gb" <> 16GB

  • +2

    Description appears generic X509 text.

Model number is the same as that on Scorptec…

    45% NTSC….

it's a budget laptop. Uses integrated UHD graphics. Though I would never pay the full $1k price.

      • It has mx250, which is really good at this price

EDIT: wait it may not have it, very confused now

  • Is there anything better for productivity at this price range?

    • +5

Not for $570, although have a hunch this will not be fulfilled

  • Is it refurbished?

  • I guess no touch screen and no backlit keyboard?

    • +1

      ??? $570!
Can I move to the land you live in…

      • +4

Yeah for $570 I know, but for over $1300 I would expect both :)

        • Definitely not worth original price! In the time I got up to get the card out of my wallet … "sold out" 😪

        • Well it's not really worth $1300. I had a quick google and most places sell it around $990.

  • Op you didn't mention the mx250

Edit: wait it may not have it, very confused now

Doesn't seem much better than the ~$554 ryzen Dell that scotty posted unless 16gb RAM is true.

  • Seems too good to be true, what's the catch? Is it price error?

    • +2

      Maybe refurb.

      • Is Kogan or the seller obligated to say whether to say it's refurbished or brand new?

        • +2

If mine is refurbished it's going back. Clearly not mentioned in the title like other refurbished laptops.

  • mystery laptop

  • " Sold Out - Sorry, this item has just sold out and could not be added to your cart"

  • Either error and they plugged it or only a handful available. Was about to jump on it but comes in as sold out. ☹

Looks like bait just to get people to go to the kogan site

  • got one last minute…does it have touch screen anyone? oh well let see if they honor it …

    • +2

Yes touch screen IP panel 144hz 100%RGB

      • Information on the Trinity website says otherwise: Touchscreen No

      • -1

Yeah, it's also got Optane, an MX250 and a 1TB HDD (and it makes you coffee in the morning)

        • just asking …don’t think touch screen is a big add on is it …?

          • @kamoy: only 2-in-1s or premium laptops have it

  • +1

was anyone able to actually buy that?

    • +1

yep been billed by kogan fullfilled
