Kayanos are for over pronators where as Nimbus are for neutral runners.
Nimbus are a little softer than the kayanos but not by much. If you have a very slight pronation you could give them a go.
If you happen to be a neutral runner and just use Kayanos then I’d try the Nimbus out.And if you use orthotics or any sort of insert then Nimbus are good.
Best thing to do is to go to Athlete's Foot, they have a machine you can walk over which will give you info about which shoes are best for you (they however do not price match)I don't use orthodics but by brother does, are they fairly wide through midfoot & toe area? Big reason why my brother uses Brookes Beasts even though they are pretty ugly runners. Might get him to check these out.

For an under-pronator/supinator like myself, Nimbus and Cumulus are better for stability for my alignment.
Kayanos appear to have this image of the flagship shoe for Asics, but as I understand this is inaccurate. They are for over-pronators (which significantly outnumber under-pronators)

My recent experience with Foot Locker is that they are dishonest. Sending what can only be described as 'seconds quality' and also claiming to have sent two pairs of runners purchased, when in fact only one pair was evidently sent. Buyer beware.
Anyone who regularly buys kayanos tried these out? How do they compare?
I'm waiting for the triple blacks to pop up for $120-$140 but don't mind the look of these.
I find many of the new very light foam only running shoes very unstable so love the durability/stability of kayanos & some Brookes runners, advise are definitely better looking than Brookes though
