  Do any of these require a separate power source?

  I have a different brand 8 in 1 (vava) which disconnects and reconnect every now and then for less than a second.

  I think it could be too much power draw.

  Details: Alienware 17 r5, thunderbolt 3 usb c connecting mouse, Monitor usb connector, hdmi, keyboard.

    Do not need to require power source, but if you connect a hard driver, it is better to connect

  If the USB-C hub's HDMI can do 4k 30Hz, can it do faster refresh at lower resolutions?

  I'm after a hub (USB-C or Thunderbolt) that can do UWQHD at 100Hz over HDMI or DisplayPort. Is that even possible?

    Dual 60Hz QHD will do me, and you’d expect this to do it, but confirmation would be nice before ordering as nothing other than 4K 30hz is listed in the specs. You’ve got a decent chance with a single WQHD at 100hz, but I couldn’t be sure.

  Bought the USB-C hub expecting to be able to do 2x 4K displays.

  Guess what, you plug in the 2nd one and it'll downscale both to 1920x1080…

  What a joke, I'm organising a return via Amazon now.
