  • Too big on my desk as a wireless charger

Pity the spelling isn't as perfect as the radio.

    • I just went to the iProwess website, and now I have a headache.

    • Ha ha just spotted that now. Had to do a quick copy & paste to make up the 10 words as the phone rang as I was about to finish post.

  • Anyone have one of these and can comment on how well it works? e.g. what's the QI charging rate - 5W, 7.5W, 10W, etc; does it have an alarm clock function (I assume yes?)? is the radio any good? reliable?

See my review below, but can add, it has two alarms and you can set it to wake you with DAB radio or music off a micro SD/USB as well as Bluetooth or FM radio.

There is another model that was posted on the 22nd Jan with no wireless charging -

    thanks OP, bought,

i bought the aldi version of this, first one i returned as the speakers where faulty, (crackling/blown) - second one didn't seem as bad, but one of the LEDs where faulty and it was dimmer than the others (like one of the leds that form the numbers that tell you the time). then after a few months, after i lost the receipt, the wireless charging broke!

so i hope this one is more reliable than that one!

    For those after the dimensions - I found this link that suggests it's 165 x 165 x 70mm

the link you posted says “ *Auto-scam DAB and FM station”

I have one of these and can provide the following info:

    • Wireless charger has no information in the manual on how many watt it is.
    • The rear USB port only works while the radio is on.
    • Also has Micro SD and AUX port to compliment the USB-A port.
    • Has Bluetooth
    • Radio quality is great as a bedside clock radio.
    • You can store 20 DAB+ and 20 FM Radio stations.
    • The website for iProwess is useless. Support is hard to find. A sticker on the rear of the unit says to visit k2sales.com for support, again, useless website.
    • There is an issue with dimming the display. I like the display pretty dim at night and changing this doesn't work. To get into the setting you need to turn the radio on, you can adjust the brightness to low, but once you turn the radio backs off it goes back to full brightness. This is the biggest issue with the device in my opinion.

For the price its OK, but it has software issues and I don't see any firmware updates coming out to correct it.

    • Any experience with how long the QI takes to charge a standard mobile phone?

I put my work iPhone 8 on it when I go to bed and its charged fully by the morning, Looking at the link above it says its a "5W wireless charger" … so its going to be slow.

    • Thanks for the info, when changing between modes does it have a crappy voice that tells you what mode it's in?
I got one from BigW and it announces the mode in a loud voice each time you change to BT, aux, radio etc

      • Nope, does nothing like that.

Wireless charger has no information in the manual on how many watt it is.

      That means 5W.

The rear USB port only works while the radio is on.

Who would want to charge/power a USB device without entertainment?

Also has Micro SD and AUX port to compliment the USB-A port.

      Such good manners!

you can adjust the brightness to low, but once you turn the radio backs off it goes back to full brightness.

      Useless for the bedroom then.
(BTW, nobody has ever said that to me.)

    • Does this have Aux out or Aux in ? thanks

I know it says dab+ and 20 FM stations.

I'm only interested in one station 3AW does it pick up the digital 3AW station ? I'm assuming it wouldn't pick up the analogue a.m. band

      • Is 3AW on DAB? Many stations have an equivalent broadcast on DAB. From a quick google, it looks like they do but you should check yourself.

      • Yes, It has 3AW and picks it up fine for me (68KM from CDB).

    • Thanks for review troyboy, got one delivered today and very happy with sound and look. Cheers!

  • mine just arrive.

love the DAB in that there is no static (as were at the bottom of a hill and FM isnt great)
they do have a alarm built in, but i just use my phone - might be nicer to wake to radio though.

just a heads up this is way to big for the headboard of a bed… hate the width, hate the fact usb doesnt work when the radio is off, i have a desk fan plugged into my current one -

these issues may be deal breaker for having it in my room, might see if i can repair the wireless charging coil on the aldi one.(as i dont really listen to radio so DAB isnt a huge deal), then maybe put it in the baby room (so the wife can use it when she is with the baby) or the daughters room, who might even get use out of the dab - and whos headboard is bigger.

just some feedback for someone who is thinking about getting one.

  • Mine arrived today. No manual in the box. Did everyone who purchased receive a paper copy? Ordinarily not an issue if you can find it online, but I'm struggling to find an electronic copy.
