Pity the Osmo Mobile 4 hasn't been on sale anywhere since October last year
The OM4 did go on sale on Amazon last month, down to $217 if I recall. However, it doesn't really get frequent specials at all, and even then the discounts aren't huge.
Still prefer OM3 than OM4.

Isn't purchasing this like purchasing a gimbal for a gimbal? I thought the main selling point of the Osmo was that it was a gimbal in it's own right?

This is the Osmo Mobile to clamp your phone onto, I think you are confusing it with the DJI Osmo Pocket which has an inbuilt camera

nice find, swapped from the Zhiyun Smooth 4 (with a samsung S7) and much prefer the OM3. Didn't see the advantage of the OM4 based on price/features. Getting my pixel 4a today so looking forward to the OM3/Pixel4a combo - using Filmic Pro as the app.
Mine has already been picked up and ready for posting. I have purchased this tripod to go with it from China. The difference between this and the combo is some sort of carry case and the tripod. Hardly worth the extra money IMO.
