        Because it has a US plug. It's an adapter from 2 prong US (vertical prongs) to 2 prong Aussie (both prongs at 45 degrees), you can get them for $1 or $2 delivered. They don't have insulation on the pins though, so a bit dangerous (seems to be no concept of OH&S in China).

        The shaver is multi-voltage. And waterproof - use it in the shower regularly, much easier when using foam this way!

      I think it's for authorisation purpose like when you register a seller account on Ebay. They'll credit you back the amount later. I read some comments on the forums saying either they'll charge your credit in 24-48 hrs or when the item is dispatched.

        It's an authorization hold to check that your credit card details are valid. It will disappear in less than a week and the $1 will not actually be taken out of your account.

        Amazon will only charge when they are ready to ship. So keep an eye on that exchange rate.

      Yes, looks exactly like the one I got. These adapters are not very well built (and no insulation on the ends of the pins, which I dislike because the weight of the shaver's plug tends to make this adapter sit in the socket at an angle, exposing the live metal pins in the socket a bit), but it works fine. If you're sure kids aren't going to go and start reaching up to this socket, then it'll do fine.

    Ordered one from the previous post, and it's brilliant.
    Now it's $5 cheaper but the ETA says at least a month before it's delivered, and i'm sure the wait is worth the price.

    I was late ordering last weeks deal and got an ETA of Jan/Feb however the next day I received an email from Amazon advising they had found stock and my new ETA would be Dec 28…I was however charged at this point even though my shaver is yet to ship.

    Also make sure you are ordering direct from Amazon and not one of their merchants (currently the merchant 'SimplyBeautiful' is the default seller as they are $1 cheaper than Amazon)

      You need to make sure the seller is Amazon, not one of their merchants. If another merchant's price drops a few dollars below Amazon's price then that merchant becomes the default seller, an usually merchants don't ship to Aus - only Amazon.

      Yeah same issue for me.

      What I did was change to my street address and there is no problems with shipping.

      Ordered one yesterday and due to arrive now by the 30th December.
