  • I think its a good find…Anyone using this phone here?

Also, says 479 at Amazon for me.

    • I have had an Realme XT since October 2019. Love it ;)

    • Cheers - updated post. Seems $469 is for Blue version only. $479 for silver.

    • I bought this phone last year.

Didn't care about the colour, as it was going in a case.

    • I've got it. It's not too bad for the price and I definitely find that 34 mins to full charge is exactly what I need. Future proof would have had 5G but can survive without it. I have an issue with commbank tap and pay (within the commbank app) I hear google pay is fine though so just something to be aware of. NFC works for all other things so possibly something I need to chase up with commonwealth but I can survive for now.

Also I find the Bluetooth sound isn't that great but it's definitely usable.

Also I find the Bluetooth sound isn't that great but it's definitely usable.

I've found the bluetooth audio on par with my old Oppo F1 (from 2016!!), but then I'm using $20 Chinese cheapie units.

I have found in 2 blocks where I walk once a week I get drop-outs, but only in that area. Not sure if it's saturated with signal or what, but the rest of places I rarely get drop-outs.

        • I find there is a faint hiss. I too have drop outs in crowded areas. Also in crowded areas as I enter them I find the tone of what I'm listening to changes. It disappears after a few seconds but my previous phones have been quicker to adjust to this.

    • I have it for about a month. Very good phone, I could not find any alternatives for similar price. Amazon is also a good place to buy it from. Good AMOLED screen and fast charging. Dedicated SD card slot. Some people reported that it takes sd cards bigger than 256 GB. Tested working with 400 GB. I am waiting for a good deal on a 512 GB card.

This brand is quite popular in India because it was launched there

Maybe the reviews below will help someone.

    • I picked one up over cyber weekend and I love it. Went from a (admittedly severely outdated) moto to this. I seldom used to spend time on my phone, now I can't stay off it. It looks and feels great, very responsive and has nifty features, often times it just interprets what I want to do. Excellent battery life and full charge in 35 mins (only with the accompanying superdart charger).

Probably better still is the NEW Realme 7 5G (Pre-Order) $499.00

    120Hz Ultra Smooth Display
    30W Dart Charge
    48MP Quad Camera
    5000mAh Massive Battery
    8GB RAM + 128GB ROM
    Dual Sim

PLUS free bonus Buds Q worth $79
    And 3.5% cashback

    • Where is this at?

Edit - Found it, Its at JB as well.

    • Saw this come up on Aliexpress for $289, and was a little annoyed that I had bought the standard 4G phone last year.

I'm not sure if this had been announced back then, but not really concerned. 4G is plenty fast enough for my needs.

It seems Realme 7 Pro still heaps better unless you need the 5G and extra ~5% cpu speed.
Realme 7 5G vs Realme 7 Pro comparison:
      195g vs 182g
Hybrid dual sim (no dedicated sd card alot) vs dual sim with dedicated sd card slot
Corning gorila glass vs corning gorila glass 3+ (more stronger)
48MP main camera vs 64MP main camera
16MP selfie camera vs 32MP selfie camera
120Hz IPS screen vs 60Hz Super Amoled, super amoled is better for photo and day to day stuff. High Hz only good mostly for gaming.
Side mounted fingerprint vs in-display fingerprint
5000mAH (slightly bigger battery) vs 4500mAH
30W fast charging vs 65W fast charging

Personally I will go 7 Pro unless 7 5G price is bellow $400

    • Why is it better?

  • If you don't need headphone jack and microSD, a Oneplus 6T might be a better buy when on sale around $390.

only concern is the 2 year software updates with OnePlus… I have a OnePlus 6 and love it.

I bought this from officeworks about 2 weeks ago for $497. Bought it as my Galaxy s9+ was cooked.
Charging port was loose, aux port was loose and battery life was atrocious. This all happened right at the 2 year mark as warranty was finished of course lol.

Really happy with it tbh. Screen is beautiful, phone is fast and is nice to have ports that I can actually plug stuff into lol.

My only complaint is that there's no wireless charging. Oh and also, with my Samsung when I would charge the phone it would tell me how fast it is charging and the time till fully charged, whereas the Realme doesn't.

    • it would tell me how fast it is charging and the time till fully charged

When you go from near flat to full in ~35 minutes, maybe they thought it was moot …

I have used GSam battery monitor for years, and it tells me how long to full, but I rarely bother looking now, because my phone is rarely below 60% charge. I put on to charge when I get up, and I know it'll be done by the time I've showered and dressed.

      • Haha that's true. Unfortunately I don't use the 65W charger as I'm trying to preserve the overall battery lifespan (I've read that it doesn't actually reduce the life span but, idk, seems to good to be true).

That's actually why I wanna have the function; so that I can see it my QC 2.0, QC 3.0 and 16W/30W PD chargers are all working at full speeds, or they all just revert to 15W or something.

    • Was gonna get the G9 Plus originally but its freggin ENORMOUS.

    • I weighed up between these over cyber weekend - Tested the G9 in store and didn't like the feel of it - and settled on the Realme 7 Pro. Very happy with it.

  • Has the AMOLED NORD come under $500?

These 2 Realme aint really good, PocoX3 is better even without the 5G and the Nord is around this price

  • Anyone know how this compares to the Realme X3 SuperZoom? 256gb version on sale at JB for $599. Obviously a bit more expensive than this but specs look better. Do I care more about an AMOLED screen or does the 120Hz, 12gb ram, Snapdragon 855 make up for this?

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/realme-x3-superzoom-256gb…

    • It's a tough choice but I went with Realme 7 Pro for the AMOLED. It's a great looking screen and the sharpness makes up for any difference in responsiveness imho.

  • Coming up as out of stock for the blue at the moment but looks like Officeworks have price matched https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/realme-7-p…

  • Bought one using TCN giftcard. Fast charge, good picture quality, suitable for normal users.

  • Is this phone support always on screen?

That can see clock and if any incoming message.
