Also S7+ 128G Wifi version is $1,199 while Samsung Education is selling for $1,239.

  • What's the use for these Android tablets these days? I have the S2 and the S4, but most Android apps are made for phones so the experience is not great.

I have Ipad air for my kid s6 lite for my wife and lenovo yoga the one with stereo front facing, that
$299 lenovo destroy ipad air in every aspect, most of the time it use to watch YouTube and streaming movie. Tablet suppose price at $500 not $1500, this all thanks to Apple

    • Wife uses her s2 all the time, email (gmail), google calendar, Facebook, messenger, games, Pinterest, BOM. She has a heap of apps so don’t know exactly what other ones she uses but I’ve seen these ones

    • I use mine like a light laptop basically, that I can use as a tablet.

Try Good Lock app on Galaxy Store (that has a lot of options for you to change things like force rotate apps or fit them into screen).

    • a bigger screen?

Have you tried editing an excel spreadsheet on your phone? Not a pleasant experience.

Neither is watching a movie on it.

  • Absolutely great tablet, use it for uni and it has pretty much taken over my PC. Its on One UI 3.1 now btw

    • really? I got the S7+ 5G and I don't have that update.

Amazon is having the exact same price right now https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08DJQJ5XG?smid=ANEGB3WVEVKZB

  • I am sure it’s a heap better than the old S2 my wife has but hers was a 4g one and was below $700, man the prices have gone up a lot.

  • This one or iPad ?

I am an all out android user, haven't used the apple products since ages. Currently using pixel phone, Last android tablet I purchased was Samsung Galaxy note Pro 12.2 SMP905 when it was first released. Unfortunately, never received the software updates for the tablet. Its kind of annoying when you spent around $1k on the tablet and never receive the updates.
I was looking to buy a tablet again last month, did some research and end up buying ipad pro 11" 256gb, reasons are:
      Keeps receiving the updates
      OS is more polished
      More compatible Apps
Hardware (CPU+GPU) is much more powerful then Samsung tablet

FYI - I am not an apple fan..

I think Apple is a better choice for tablets. Life long Android user here.

The apps on Android aren't always tailored for tablets.

        • which app?

Aside from the occasional app that doesn't rotate (which will be the same case on the iOS version of the app) I haven't seen what people are talking about. You can also download apps that force the rotation.

      • I think Samsung has come a long way in terms of their support, they did promise 3 major updates I think for tab s7?

Eh I agree with most of what you said, I disliked iPadOS when I last used it (with iPad 6th gen one).
It just didn't feel like it wants to do multitasking like it's capable of and there was nothing I could do (Apple doesn't like when users use their product the way they didn't intend).

      • Yup I prefer iPad for the tablet
