I've used O&O Defrag - it's terrific. I would assume that the rest of their software arsenal is worth giving a go.

Looks like it just monitors smart data or something.
If it uses less than 1mb of ram it might be worth it, but i find most programs that claim to be discreet tend to be resource hogs.
I will give it a try, my laptop is crashing i suspect it could be because of HDD or heat…
