  • $30 will be worth $500 to $600 in 10 years.

    • I had $200 worth of BTC year ago now it is $2000.

      • I'll try and do the math later, the first Celsius post i made last year would be worth about that in free coins. It's been a great year for Crypto.

Ahh cool, a time traveller. I prefer stocks, could you let me know the best stock to buy instead so I could make 20x the gains of my investment?

      • +2

        GME before the pump.

    • I've got around $1700 worth of BTC and CEL in my Celsius account .. all from their free bonuses.

$10 of free CEL grew into over $US400 in less than one year.

  • Given how expensive transaction fees are, worth just holding some BTC on here and letting it appreciate?

    • +6

I recommend FTX exchange to buy currently, they pay all withdrawal fees.Celsius also pays all withdrawal fees.
You can cash in / out with Binance.

Use BUSD (BEP2) to send to FTX. Celsius requires ERC-20 for USDC, BUSD and native chains for Bitcoin.

      • FTX supports BEP2 - interesting.

For ease of use, insurance, etc I'd recommend holding it through the Crypto.com app

Insurance does not cover deposits, it's something Celsius is looking at offering in the future.

  • How do I know if the referral code worked?

    • If you make a deposit, it will show as locked in Total balance or BTC balance. After the deposit is confirmed.

      • Are you sure the offers stack? I used the referral and the $40 promo but its only showing the $40.

        • How much did you transfer? $200?

I believe you need to transfer $400 for both to track. Unless this has changed.

          • @tajid: Ahh, I just did $200. That explains it.

            • @No: @No did you manage to get both bonuses?

              • @ttfb: Just the 40, no referral bonus as yet.

          • @tajid: Can it be in multiple transaction or does it have to be multiple of $200? Have a few little collections I want to transfer it all (total should be over $400).

  • What's the cheapest way to get some crypto there? I already have btcmarkets, do I just buy bitcoin from there?

    • Withdrawal fees for BTC,ETH are very high atm. Unless you use ftx, gemini which pay all transfer fees.

    • +1

BTCMarkets withdrawal fee for BTC could get over $10. As suggested, use FTX as they cover your withdrawal fee.

  • So this should show up under promotions if active? I'm a bit confused how to enter it, the Ozb system gives you a code but entering that code into the app doesn't seem to work?

    • The referral code needs to be entered at sign up.

The promo codes can be entered in the app once signed up.

      • Yeah that makes sense. I'm sure I did that. So is there any way to confirm that it's active? Just deposit the money and hope for the best? 😅

        • +1

Yep deposit the money (EDIT coins, not money) and under BTC, you should see $30 locked if you did things correctly.

  • I got onto Celsius about 6 weeks ago when there was $20 bonus code.

But…Is there any way I can get withdraw coins to my bank account?

I am trying to use Coinbase currently and have attempted to withdraw coins.
Some advice would be appreciated :)

    • +1

AFAIK, Coinbase can't be used to withdraw to AUD.

You can open Binance, Coinspot or BTC Markets. Transfer the coins there, then sell them to AUD. With that, you can then withdraw.

Feel free to PM me if you are unsure.

  • Stupid question. How are people transferring the USD? Easiest, cheapest way to do it?

    • I just read above comments…need to buy crypto. Hmmmm

      • +1

FTX will be the cheapest, You can send BUSD, USDC, Tether or True USD to Celsius. All these are pegged crypto assets. You need to Transfer using ERC-20 which can be expansive atm from some exchanges.

It's also possible to buy True AUD

  • I used a random referral from Ozbargain to signup to Celsius but never got the referral reward. I talked to support and they want the email
address of the person who referred me. If the last 6 digits of your referral code is 445925, can you please pm me so we can get our bonuses?

    • Not my referral number, but I'm surprised you were able to get a response from their support at all. Did you create a support ticket through the app?

I would caution anyone using Celsius unless you have a very high tolerance for risk and bad service. It seems almost impossible to get a timely or any response from their support.

Celsius started off great, but if you ever have a problem that needs support they are horrible. r/CelsiusNetwork is full of stories of how long people have been waiting for support.

      • +1

To be fair, they grew very quickly and in the last couple months have doubled their customer service so this should improve overtime. If you complain on Twitter DM, seems to get quicker response.

        • Yep, I still use them and would still recommend them on the condition that you can't expect a timely response from support. I would not deposit money into Celsius if you can't afford to lose it, might need to withdraw it urgently, or will stress about it.

          • +1

@devilbabies: Yeah I created a ticket through the app. After not hearing anything for over a month, I logged into their support site and saw my ticket was marked as solved and closed, even though there were no updates or replies to my case (the same thing seems to have happened to other people as well).

People on the r/CelsiusNetwork subreddit seemed to have success by sending a DM to XineohpCelsius (Celsius rep) so I tried that and ended up getting a response to my ticket within 24hrs.

So for the time being I guess the only way to get a response from them is to either DM them on Twitter or Reddit.
