  • How does this compare to the more expensive one

    • I can't speak specifically on this model opposed to another, but only in generalisations. I've tried the cheaper (sub $200) ones, and the cheapest Theragun.

Percussion massage works by striking you over and over. That means that between each strike the head stops touching you (alternating between full pressure and full release). The cheaper ones that I have tried don't do that, unfortunately. They stay in contact with your skin at all times and just push into you further on each rep. The difference this made was big enough that it caused me to return mine and get a G3 from Kogan for $240 odd.

YMMV, as I have still heard people saying good things about these cheaper ones, but for me it wasn't a percussion massage at all.

      • How do you find the g3.

        • I like it. It's lacking in some of the features that the more expensive ones have, and it isn't quite as strong (will bottom out under less pressure), but I don't really want to go harder with it than I do.

On paper it has less features than these cheaper versions (not so many heads, only 2 speeds), but it has what you need. Having 20 different speeds is unnecessary, and the extra heads are often uselessly padding out the feature list.

The cheaper one was good enough to make me want a better one. The G3 I am happy with.

Does this have silicone massage heads - or hard plastic?

Yes I was literally about to post this.

Even the Theragun ones are trash.

The only decent part is the motor. The case, the connector and arm, the battery case (batteries were Samsung's at least) were all trash.

I can't believe a $850 appliance doesn't have proper over molding or glass nylon.

I can't wait to see his custom rebuild.

I'm glad he did the follow up test on the lady parts.

  • Is this vibrator any good?

  • This is $5 more than last month - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/599651
Waiting for it to drop a bit more before pulling the trigger.
