    Might be stating the obvious here, but if you live in Brisbane, you're paying between $5 and $10 in tolls for a return trip, plus fuel (assuming you take the toll road).

      why… why would you take a toll road for this trip? the toll road is a 10+ min detour over the 'free' road. makes no sense.

      Brisbane to Gold Coast has no toll road! unless you are coming from the airport side which in that case why would you drive that far anyway
