  • Thanks OP. When does the deal end?

    • Hey ge4 - ends midnight or when stock is done.

      Thanks
      Dan

  • Awesome thanks OP. Was just looking for some good beans!

  • +1

these are very good, I'm currently enjoying the enterprise blend right now.

I'll have to wait for the next deal to buy though. hopefully they come around often

  • loving your coffee

  • Excellent coffee and great postage time.

  • Thanks OP! Bought 2kg Espresso Grind. Just in time!

  • A coffee noob here. so I have a 7g coffee spoon and does this mean 1 coffee a day with 1kg bag would last you roughly 142 days or is there a catch?

    • +2

Yep but you would probably want to consume within 2 months for optimal flavour.

      • ah thats the catch! (2 months thingy)

        Thanks

        • +2

I mean you can keep them longer no worries (most supermarket beans are 1-2 years old). Most coffee snobs will say 1-2 months to consume though.

        • +1

Freeze the beans and they will last longer.

      • More like two weeks. You won't get optimal flavour for two months.

Depending on which school of thought you subscribe to, you can freeze it in lots and remove and defrost batches.

        • When I buy 1kg I freeze half in vacuum seal coffee cannisters. When it comes to using the frozen beans I take out what I need for a double shot each time and put the rest back in the freezer each time. Def last longer in terms of crema and flavour that way…

  • Great deal, great coffee, great timing for me this time. Thanks.

  • +1

Curious why it's always the same 3 that always go on sale

  • Thanks! Got one. Loved it last time

  • Are these beans best for espresso, milk, or filter?
Which style would get the most out of the beans?

    • +1

Whether you use them for espresso or filter is more a question of how finely ground your beans are and your own personal tastes. Sumatran coffee is known for it's earthy flavours.

  • Thanks. Picked up a kg. It’s a great coffee so more than happy to get another kg to top up.

  • Found the Sumatra to be really good. I'll definitely grab some more on the next deal.

  • +1

Can get beans at all our local coffee shops for $30-40 a kg.

$50 a KG base price is extremely high.

  • Would you recommend this blend for cold brew?

    • Hi mattoo - we have had very good feedback from customers using this blend for Cold Brew - Hopefully some may spot this comment and confirm for you.

      Hope that helps.
      Dan

    • This one is great for cold brew; the last deal served me well over summer. Currently getting through a bag of the enterprise blend, which isn't quite as good as the Sumatra.

  • These seem popular but I wouldn't be able to get through a 500g bag quick enough unfortunately.
    No 250g option?

Damn with 6kg option it seems this is more commerical quantities.

    • +2

I think this says more about you than them. You need to up your coffee consumption game!

      • +1

Well I'd want to have it within 3-4 weeks and I can't have a kilo of coffee every 6 weeks by myself 😂

        • Can’t is the real C word.

  • Are the bags nitrogen flushed?

    • +3

      No sir…..flushed with Love only……..

  • I'm still going through the Enterprise blend I got a few months back and it's really good! Thanks Dan for helping me with getting the best out of my espresso on my home machine, really appreciate it and I think I'm getting really good cups now.

  • Thanks OP! Signed up for an account and saw this:

To continue, let us know you're not a robot.

Robots dont drink coffee : )

    • +1

Maybe the smart ones do :)

    • +1

      Tell Bender that.

  • Guys and Gals - apologies for the late replies - getting to your questions now - keep them coming….

    Cheers
    Dan

  • OzBargainer: Are your bags of whole bean rounded up/down to the nearest bean?

  • Thank you!! I was eyeing it out for a while and finally ordered 2kgs. I am now super excited.

I only drink espresso shots, so what would be the grind setting you would recommend for this?

    • Thanks so much for your order - I would suggest you use the same setting as what you have been successfully running with your last bean and tweak from there. It's a bit of a challenge to suggest anything else given the variation between grinders and tamping etc.

If you want to work through whatever results you are getting and need help tweaking just hit me up on PM or email [email protected] - happy to help any time.

      Regards
      Dan

  • On our last bag of beans from another fresh roaster now so this was timely for a 2kg purchase. Cheers!

  • Perfect timing!! Thank you.

  • Would you recommend these beans for cold brew drip coffee? Or is there other beans I should try. I don't mind if there is no discount code. I am willing to try this company out. Cheers.

    • Hey there - yes indeed try these for cold brew drip - they will be sensational! (IMHO :)

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Big fan of the beans, even bigger fan of the service. Beans didn't arrive (Aussie post error) then was found although the rep was proactive in wanting to send me the beans if it was indeed lost. A+ just ordered again

  • Hi guys where are the beans roasted? Are you guys based in Melbourne?

    • Queensland based.

    • +1

I know geographically it seems off putting, but I live in Melbourne and get coffee from these guys a couple of days later thanks to the free express shipping now. Buy with confidence :)

      • +1

I have already bought haha, I was trying to influence one of my Melbournian friends to jump on the deal. They asked where they were based.

        • +1

I too have been sharing with friends, haha. For some who was able to visit between lockdowns really loved the coffee. My wife and I love Airjo, it's been my cup of joy during all the shenanigans :)

  • I purchased this single origin beans last deal. Just be aware that the beans are too dark and not suitable for filter coffee. Best suited to espresso I feel.

    • I think you missed the point of the deal - it is for Sumatra 1KG discounted to $30 as per the title. All other types of beans are regular priced as far as I can tell.

      • -6

nope my thing is this is Ozbargains and $31.00 a kilo is a high price for a bargain.

        • +2

I think you're missing the concept of bargains. Just because I can buy inferior product for less doesn't equate it being a bargain. A bargain can be for a premium product and not based on an arbitrary low value perceived by an individual.

Think you're looking for cheap offers…This website is for bargains to which the price reduction already suggests. I hope you can understand the difference here.

nope my thing is this is Ozbargains

          ** Ozbargain FTFY

    • You believe 7/11 is the benchmark?

      • -5

anyone who wants 50.00 beans no matter the type are coffee snobs! Just my opinion. I did not suggest you should be purchasing $12-17 dollar beans i.e 7/11!

        • Everyone has a product/service they can see the difference in. Where the difference is clear-as-day, between budget & premium. I have friends that are nuts for audio, but don't give a hoot for visual… And vice-versa.

I think all red wine tastes like poison… but that's my tastebuds. Should I be sledging in every deal over $10/bottle?

    • It's a premium single origin coffee and priced as such. Bargain for a gourmet item.

  • Thanks, order placed.
Was happy with your beans last time I ordered some,

  • Sad. I bought a non-ozb specific deal the OP has shown me a few days ago. I paid slightly more for a cheaper blend.

  • Bit the bullet! Thanks OP

  • Afterpay doesn't work?
    Is Z1P pay available?

    • Not sure whats happening there Winsolo - apologies. No ZipPay sorry.
I will try and sort the Afterpay and update you here.

      Regards
      Dan

  • Thanks for the deal! Came around just in time as my previous bag from you guys is running low.

  • +1

OP i just missed out.. Anything you can do to help returning customer?

  • The shipping was really quick!!Ordered on Monday 11am and it arrived at 11am today, from QLD to SA!

  • Purchased! Roasted 2 days ago. Do I get into it asap or wait a few days for better taste? I know theres difference in opinions about time frame to wait for optimum taste…

    • Here’s the perfect opportunity for you to form your own opinion :)
Rip into it now, make some notes, compare in a week.

      Then share with us :)

  • Hey Airjo,

Will you bring back the nespresso coffee pods at all?

    • Hey Wongzee - we won't be producing those for the foreseeable future.

      • Aw thats okay, did you use a specific bean in those? I enjoyed the flavour and might buy by the bean instead.

        • +1

Apologies for the inconvenience Wongzee - yes we did we used the Enterprise Blend in the capsules.

          Hope that helps.
          Cheers
          Dan

  • Dan, I've been extracting the Sumatra this week and I'm so pleased that I got this. This coffee is delicious, Thank you :)

    • +1

So good to hear that. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙏
