  • Never tried afterpay, do I need to create an afterpay account ? Or can I use my PayPal account to pay AfterPay ?

    • +2

You might prefer just to pay with gift cards if you don't already have an account.

      • ic, thanks

      • Isn't that only 4 or 5% cashback though? Whereas using Afterpay will get it cheaper?

        • +2

You still get the 10% / 12% discount from the code. The gift card discount will be on top of that.

          • @hamza23: Oh really? I thought the code wouldn't work unless you select Afterpay as payment method..

            • @arkie: You still do, but then add the gift cards in the code section so you don't have any balance left to pay by afterpay. All discussed in that linked thread.

@hamza23: Awesome thanks for this. I just bought $350 of gift cards, signed up to Cash Rewards which already gave me $10 for signup. So now I have $24 in my Cash Rewards account I can withdraw, $8.90 left on the gift card.

So I got the headphones for $317.10!

                Thanks :D

      • Can someone confirm if this is still working?

  • +1

Good price. Picked one up from catch a couple weeks back for $290 (I had 15% off giftcards from Paypal/Coles). For anyone who is interested, the catch deal is still up here. You should be able to get it for around $325 stacking unidays and 6% off gift cards.

    • auspost has 10% off catch gift cards I just ordered mine about to get them and get the xm4 for around $300

Where is the 10% off at auspost? On the website atm and its full price

  • Hi owner of this Sony, could you please share any feedback in term of the phone call quality especially when you are outside jogging/walking for example?
Can the person at the other end able to hear you clearly?
How about in the windy situation?

    • +1

I own these and confirm the call quality is pretty decent, I didn't use the earlier versions but if you look at the changes from xm3 to xm4 one of the things they focused on was improving general voice call quality.
Sound quality is great for Bluetooth if using LDAC however as usual not comparable to wired with a decent DAC.

Wind isn't an issue for the mic - though it can mess up noise cancelling a little, however there is a rather effective 'wind' mode for NC. Call quality is quite good - outside the mic on calls can pick up a bit too much background noise (eg cars), though turning off ambient sound seems to work better with that.

I use it all the time for calls and Zoom.

  • Any chance this headphone will come down to $300 soon?

    • Honestly I doubt it, but you can get the xm3's (the previous version) for under $300

    • I only saw it for that price at black Friday sales with Ebay Plus

Is this listing trustworthy?? It's from the same seller as the one in the post but I don't know why they would have a separate listing for $50 cheaper

EDIT: Disregard this. My dumb ass didn't realise this was the xm3

Thanks OP. Bought using discounted ebay gift cards. So total for me came to about $315 delivered.
