GP21

I imagine anyone can become a member and get this deal - the code was within a jpeg so I don't think they are individual.

This puts games like Gloomhaven down to $143 which is a great price (the next reputable seller has it for $154)

Excludes Catan Anniversary and Gift Cards

I recommend using with https://www.boardgameoracle.com/en-AU to ensure you are getting the deal you think you are getting.

  • (members only?)

    Why is that a question?

    • Changed. But a question originally because I am not certain you actually have to be already be a member to get the deal

      • +1

Well, the code didn't work for me until I logged in to my account.

        • I got the email about an hour ago.

          I didn't even know I was a member.

          • @jv: You're a country member!

  • Root comes down to $47.96, which is a historic low according to BGO.

    • daaaymn… get on that people. If Underground is similarly cheap would highly recommend that too.

    • I have been eyeing that game for ages but didn't want to pay the shipping! Now I have to get it! so I bought nova luna, luxor, its a wonderful world along with it to get free shipping! Well I didn't have to get that many games but I just couldn't help myself! bye bye money!

  • Have these guys improved because they used to be horrible right

    • Have never had an issue with them. Their bricks and mortar store seems to have been the problem.

Nope the web store sucked big ones.

        • As I said, I've never had a problem. This seems to come up every time GP is mentioned anywhere, so obviously, I think it's unfair.

Perhaps you'd care to elaborate on the issues, because saying someone "sucks big ones" isn't very informative.

          • @foursaken: The deal is expired, but …

First, the web site always said it was operated as a separate entity to the physical store. But it was owned and operated by the same family. That family also operates one of Australia's largest board game distributors.

Second, it was not unusual for them to accept orders for stock they didn't have. If you tried to 'undo' your purchase you were either met with no replies, or our accounts dept is processing that now. However it never did. Most honest customers would waste time with many emails, phone calls etc, yet all that ever worked was pursuing through credit card requests.

Because I thought their physical store was neat, I tried to support them. Until the inevitable happened to me. And then I realised the stories were real.

They could well have improved, by I think now most enthusiasts have realised the truth, and that the same deals or better are available elsewhere, from honest, hard-working stores keen to support hobbyists.

By all means go ahead and find out for yourself.

    • I remember people complaining about 6 years ago - I never had an issue and I haven't seen any complaints in any of the board game groups I'm in for a fair while.

      • -1

May also be because no one will touch them with a barge pole.

        • Complaints still show up about Gamerholic weekly, and they are marked as having issues on BGO. This is not the case for Games Paradise.

  • Wow. Pandemic Legacy Season 2 is $$$ there.

  • Hi, Is this still current? No mention anywhere else? I just became a member and no codes or coupons? Was the code emailed to existing members?

    • Code worked for me yesterday
