Isn't WD Blue SN550 better for less than $8 more? https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07YFFX5MD/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • $136.18 with afterpay and eBay Plus (+ 5% discounted gift cards)
Probably better with SN550 since it's got an SRAM cache and TLC (instead of QLC) NAND

    • it is better. either WD Blue, or Kingston A2000. WD Blue from memory is a dramless TLC, and A2000 has dram and is tlc

  • Cant pay using afterpay with giftcards anymore??? I get an error asking to change payment method!?

    • Did you select afterpay as payment method, then apply coupon and then add gift cards?
It was working yesterday when I did it. It did throw an error but I clicked pay now 2 or 3 times before it went through

      • it worked for me yesterday too but today it's forcing me to change the payment type after i have applied 7 gc to make it to $0.
        I'll try again!

    • Just made a purchase, can confirm method still works

      • u sure it works?

It still doesnt work for me after trying multiple times.

If the amount left to pay is < $1, the afterpay option is de-selected automatically and when i click Confirm and Pay, it fails.

Did it on desktop. Only used one gift card. Worked flawlessly

@FireRunner: I used a different ebay account and it finally worked!
Could it be that you can use this trick only 1 per account? Weird.

            • @ChaseTheSun: That’s really weird. I’ve done it twice with the same account so it’s not that

              • +1

                @FireRunner: Yep really weird!

Thanks for your help anyway. You gave me hope that it still works :)

                • @ChaseTheSun: Hey mate, you were able to get it to work with $0 balance after applying GC's?

Hoping for confirmation before I spend $780 on gift cards haha

                  • @matictac: Yeah. Got it to work but had to use my wife's account as it didnt work on my account.

                    • +1

@ChaseTheSun: Yeah ended up just rolling the dice and it wouldn't work if I fully covered the cost with giftcards, so just saving the $30 on for next time. :)
