Wi-Fi Extender Suggestions and Tax Deduction

Please suggest which wifi extender is best suitable? I went to jb hifi but confused with many versions..I just need one on my upstairs for work from home.

Also can I be able to use the bill for my tax deduction($299) as I am using it mostly for work purposes?

Thank you

What field of work are you in?

if you need high bandwidth a mesh system performs much better than a Wi-Fi extender.

You can claim WFH items on tax. Speak to your tax agent.

by design a wifi range extender will halve your speeds
+1 For twix's suggestion of a mesh system

      • But what if the wifi extender is configured to connect to the main AP via . say .. 5Ghz and then all clients connect to the extender on the 2.4 with same SSID name as the main AP ? Will that also halve bandwidth?

    • Yes, you get half the speed between devices on your LAN, but you will get max internet speed. I have a wifi extender and get the full 100Mbps+ download speeds.

Internet speed was the important thing for me.

If you use the wifi extender downstairs, or do any personal stuff upstairs, then you can only claim a portion of the cost of the extender.

Buy a mesh network it will be worth it. I have google mesh and it was worth it.

Check if you can expense it with your company. Mine did. Better to get 100% discount :)
