I can't buy wireless ear buds - I'll just lose them. I have to stick with the connected types (two Bt buds linked by a wire) due to failure-at-life-ness.

    • I had the same opinion but I have never lost any of mine.

You can easily feel if they start to move and can just give them a quick tap to make them more secure again.

      • Assuming your hands aren't full/dirty or say wearing a motorcycle helmet, by which point it can be too hard or too late.

    • I have these wireless earbuds. They've fallen out a few times and luckily they've never been damaged. Generally only happens when I'm running but it's also happened when I've just been walking.

I am no audiophile but I have used both Bose 700 headphones and the TaoTronics TT-BH090 Headphones.
Both headphones give an exceptional audio experience. Considering the TaoTronics TT-BH090 are 5x cheaper than the Bose 700,
it's a no-brainer when deciding which headphones to buy. So yes I bought the TaoTronics TT-BH090!!

I double that. My wife has the Sony MX4 and they sound alike. I couldn't tell the difference between them. The Sony however has a much much better noise cancelling than the TaoTronics

    • Is the phone call quality good for outdoor use for jogging? Can the other person hear the voice clearly?

      • I've never made a call with the TaoTronics TT-BH090 Headphones, but I can remember receiving 2 calls, one person didn't notice that I was using the headphones the other said they could hear me clearly and that it sounded good. At my end, the caller came through loud and clear, so I say yes they work well and the microphone picks up my voice clearly for the other person.

the headphones are great, bought a pr last time they were on special expecting a lot less,
but was pleasantly surprised by their performance.

Anyone tried using these in an MS Teams meeting?

    • I have. For some reason, when i use them for video meetings, if i want to use their in built microphone, i need to switch audio from stereo to mono, and the sound quality is shit. For some reason, whenever you want to use them as a communications device, the system automatically switches them from "headphones" to "headset" and the problems begin

      • Thanks I will avoid!

        • But sure if this is specific to these ones or a windows thing. They work on if i force them to be stereo (headphones mode) during a call, but i can't use the microphone and have to use the one in my laptop instead

      • That sounds like a windows issue as my Sony's exhibited the same issue until I switched sound devices

      • +1

To get around this, you can use a wired headphone cable and switch to whatever audio output they're plugged into. May defeat the point of being wireless, but at least you're not stuck with completely crap sound.

  • BH090
It has audio pass through feature?
How is the controls? Button or touch on the pad?
I read people review about the clamp is fine for their big head, so how about people with small head will this become loose?

    BH079
it has magnet on the case? Not the cover but magnet under each buds so it won't falll even if the case is open.
What can we control by touching? Including up down volume?

    • +2

      BH090
      - I am not sure about Audio Passthrough, I will have to ask SunValley
      - Button controls
      - I don't mean to brag but I have a big head (lol, geddit?) but the headband is adjustable for varying cranium girth.

      BH079
      - It has magnets under each earbud
      - Volume up/down, play/pause, track selection, call answer/hang up, ignore call, siri/google/alexa/bixby

I bought these during the last Black Friday sales from Amazon. They were advertised as as USB-C, but I received the Micro USB version. Was going to send them back at the time but didn't bother as the missus was perfectly happy with them.

    • I had the exact same happen to me, though I did contact Amazon, I sent them back and they posted me the USB-C version.
Annoying to go through the process, but kudos to Amazon for making the process quick and simple.
BTW I didn't notice any difference between the two, but my guess is that the USB-C model would charge faster.

  • Are these similar to the BH60's?

I gave my BH60's to my GF and I'm trying to find a replacement.

    • Yes, they are. The BH090s are their current flagship Headphones.

    • Less bass heavy. Better build.

  • BH 55 deal please.
I have BH60, BH46, BH85 in my collection so far. All have their particular strengths but I want the 55s.
btw Sunvalley have really helped me out outstandingly. So rate them highly.
    Thanks Xev

    • I posted a deal for the 55's a couple of weeks ago for $39 USD..Mods removed it as you needed to use a freight forwarder. (I think that's why they removed it). Buy that's the only way you will get the 55's as Taotronics won't sell them to Australia. They had sold out, but came back in stock the next day. Now currently all sold out again. There are a couple of pairs on Ebay.com for around $90 delieverd but won't have warranty. Or via Amazon (but around $165 - which is a mystery as they sell them for $39 to the US).

      • Yeah thanks saw that deal.
        Figured warranty could be problematic.

        • They were handled by Amazon anyway (even though they were bought direct through Tao Tronics).

    • Unfortunately, it looks like they are discontinuing the BH055s.

      • I figured that was the case with them going out for $39 US. Guess they now want you to buy 2 pairs (aptx or hybrid in separate headphones). These were the last model to have both in the same pair. Xev - why didnt they ever sell them to oz? Never got an answer from TT.

  • Bought. I need new ANC headphones as my current Sony's are pretty much done after 4 years of heavy use.

Couldn't pass it up considering the great feedback.

Edit: OP, are you able to please confirm these are Type-C?

  • +1

Not sure why these Apollo Q10's didn't get much love earlier. Reviews seem pretty good. No aptx, but neither do the BH90's. Look very similar offers.

  • OP, I have the BH085s. Is this worth an upgrade?

  • Thanks OP. Bought some BH042s a while ago now and just last week was thinking of trying some on ears instead. After the performance of the BH042s no issue giving these a go 😉

  • Anyone can confirm bh090 has ambient mode/passthrough mode? Also it is very heavy someone said almost 500grams?

    • Afaik, no.

      Mine are 284g.

    • I bought some - they don't.

  • My unit was USB-C.

For what they are - they're fine. Definitely represents great value for money, but to get any sort of decent sound you'll need an EQ.

Other than that, I bought them as my MDR-1000x have all but died and the ANC wasn't working due to a loose and cracked headband.

These will definitely hold me over until the XM5
