Buying my second home and looking for a good mortgage broker in Adelaide within 5kms from CBD. Last time I just bought straight from UBank but it’s a bit more complicated this time.

    After going through all the paperwork with Bernie Lewis, they advised a mortgage was not a problem. A few days before settlement they told me I couldn't get a mortgage because I was still on my probation period :-)
    I think they gambled my house hunting was going to take longer than my probation period or they just didn't check the paperwork…..

      I dunno. Maybe they thought you would negotiate a long settlement?
      Can be a problem with probation periods, self-employeds etc.
