Recommend Me a Lenovo Laptop ($1k or Below Budget)

I'm in the market for a new laptop. There are a million different models to choose from and I'm finding it all a bit overwhelming. I thought I would turn to the OzBargain communtiy to help me narrow down my options. Here's what I'm looking for:

  • Windows 10

  • Leaning towards a Ryzen CPU, but happy to consider Intel

  • 16 GB RAM (or 8 GB as long as it's upgradeable)

  • 256 GB SSD (minimum)

  • Thin and light

  • 14 inch screen (willing to go smaller if the price is right) - don't care for touchscreens

  • Excellent battery life (needs to last all day)

  • USB-C charging (preferrable)

  • Budget $1,000 (but less is always better)

I also want something that can travel around with me. I take care of my stuff, but it needs to be able to survive the incendentals. I've been leaning towards Lenovo, but I'm happy to consider other brands. I also have an .edu email, so I can grab an educator's discount. Thanks in advance!

There's a shortage of AMD processors and all the budget E-series, Yoga / Yoga Slim series are not available to purchase in Ryzen options. These are now on Intel 11th Gen.

For AMD you might have to go for the T, L and X series, these are the only lines that are in stock that have Ryzen 4000 series.

Honestly all round great quality, reliable laptops with incredible keyboards.

        • have you got gen 1 or gen 2? how is the touchpad (not the nipple thing) to use?

This deal is $299 or $257 if you hurry
nowhere near the specs you asked for - but well under the budget
