    • Just ordered, thank you.

      • 74 sold since 5pm, do you think they have that many

eBay has an inventory system for sellers, if entered correctly it stops selling when it reaches that number automatically.

@Jimbuscus: Wonder if it kept up with orders direct from the website though. We'll see!

    • Thanks Opioid, snatched one of last two available
Edit: the last one got sold 30 seconds after my order :)

  • I bought stuff from Peters of Kensington before, had a good experience with them and everything came out fine.

Avoid this mob like the plague. Worst customer service, ever. Took order for something for store pick-up, site showed stock and was wrong, took months and NSW Fair Trading getting involved just to get a refund (>$500). Never, ever again with this lot, no matter what the price. A quick Google search showed me I wasn't alone in having big problems on getting refunds.

Nice one but 600ml is a bit too small for a practical, regular use.

  • 600ml only

I had very bad experience with Peter’s of Kensington last June on the eBay plus deal for the Global Ikasu knife set.
Very cheap for only $199, but, one of the knives had rust spots and small notches on it before any use. I suspected it was a used/returned and reported it to Peter's of Kensington; however, it took us more than a month for the communications. Basically you'll receive their reply for one week or longer. Finally I got their reply, advised me to:
“ take the knives to any professional sharpener person and have them sharpened at 15 degrees. This will remove any uneven edges. Alternatively if you have a sharpening stone or wheel you can do this yourself.” they also suggested me to use Jif or Gumption to remove any rust spots.

OK, I bought them BRAND NEW and this was how they deal with the “lifetime warranty”.

At last, since it took so long and I was no longer able to leave them negative feedback on eBay. Good work for Peter's of Kensington.
I'll never buy from them again no matter how good is the price. Promotion != bad quality & warranty.

It doesn't take you 12 hours to drink a coffee?

      • +1

It takes me 24 hours for my iced coffee :)

    • +2

In German hotels it's common to serve coffee for 2-3 people in a little insulated jug like this at breakfast. Example

  • I stop buying kettles and drink bottles aren't see through. I buy glass made only. I've had a bad experience where I filled up the kettle with unnoticeable brown tap water. Luckily didn't get sick.

    • +12

Your problem here is the brown tap water, not the kettle!

    Just bought 4. Thanks

  • I thought it was made in Germany. Now I think I will return it. I want the ones made in Germany, the bigger ones, I guess. No wonder so cheap

    • I’m sure it said made in Germany in the title originally. The post doesn’t show any revisions though. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

I have to say Peters of Kensington have pretty good prices (been looking at some of their stationery) and their packaging is nice, though I wish postage was a bit more competitive

  • Must have been popular. Number 1 deal for 2 days now is a bloody sold out water jug :'D

  • This will blend in well with my operating table for guilty people that get away from the law…

We've got the larger version. 1.0 or 1.3L I can't recall. Officeworks clearance for 25 bucks. Keeps temperatures very well. Very happy with it. 600ml a bit small for water but good for coffee/tea

Anyone else got the incorrect inventory email ?

    • Same.

    • I got it from their eBay store and today it was shipped
