Just noticed Repco have 25% off BlackVue dash cams, not as cheap as it was in December but it's not that bad. I don't believe it's being advertised anywhere and you only see the discount after adding to cart. These dash cams also appear in their catalogue starting Wednesday but it's only $50 off so these prices will likely end tomorrow.

          Saved me here. Guy sped off and I reported to police.

          I still had to pay insurance excess up front to claim and after a month and a half the guy (who we now had contact details for, via vicpol) still hadn't accepted fault. Becuase I had the video my insurer gave me a refund anyway and continued to pursue the other driver.

          I've also been able to capture another collision but they stopped that time. Plus plenty of stupid shit.

          But that one crash alone justified the price.

      not yet, I bought one for my wife's car after somebody threatened her and kicked the passenger door in. We went to police the same afternoon, told them what happened where the guy lived and they did (profanity) all, but asked if we had video footage of the incident.

    I seem to recall that during their promo running (I think it's 20% off or 25% with autoclub) it said excludes Blackvue so don't be surprised if it's a pricing error that won't get honoured.

      Got a 900x from amazon america in jan for around 630 shipped. I paid extra for fast shipping because they proposed a timeline I suspected they wouldn't be able to meet. I was correct and got my $57 shipping fee refunded as a gift card, which I then used to pay for most of a 256gb sandisk max endurance flash card.

      Keep an eye on amazon.com, maybe add it to your camelcamelcamel watchlist. Sometimes you can pick up a decent bargain

    Just wondering if anyone has received their 750X-2CH via delivery yet? A Repco guy came and delivered the Power Magic unit the next day but not the 750X-2CH, and my online order still states "In Progress" …

      Repco delivery can be a bit dodgy and sometimes they need a prompt. They reckon they do next day (or even same day) delivery but in my case I waited 2 days and had to contact them, then it was delivered about 2 hours after I sent the email. Its good value for $5 but just be prepared for a wait or having to give them a prompt.

      Having the pmp allows you to quickly turn off parking mode. Only reason I can think of.

        Yep that's one thing I love about the PMP. Easy as to reach down and flick the switch to turn park mode on/off. Not sure how you do it on the X models but I assume there's a setting in the app, or most people just leave the cam running until it runs out of juice.

          I let it run until it dies. Probably horrible for my battery as my daily commute isn't very long.

          Without pmp, just pull the plug I guess.. no app settings. I do wish there was a setting to switch to parking mode a minute after ignition is off. Most of the time me closing the door on the way out makes an event recording.
