Can you remove the beef patty to make it cheaper?

    • +5

Yes, comes to $2.90 if you remove the patty.

      • -1

Can you remove the fries to make it cheaper?

        • +87

You can remove everything to make it free

          • +25

@FireRunner: Can we post that as a separate deal though, or will it be considered a dupe ?

          • @FireRunner: you remove everything you will still have to pay

      • +2

        Wow, really?

So $2.90 for some chips, a thickshake, a lil cheese sandwich basically, and a toy?

I mean I'd personally pay the buck ten and get the burger, but that is pretty cool nonetheless.

      • +1

Still $4 in the app even if you remove the beef patty

        • Weird, comes up as $2.90 for me in the app in QLD..

        • -1

          Hint: hamburger

    • +3

Steamed bun with a slice of cheese, pickle and tomato sauce. Kinda sounds nice but that is a lot of sugar and salt with not much else.

      • nah its HJs that steam their crap.. unless maccas has changed in how ever long ago it was

        • +1

Nah, they haven't changed. Maccas only steam Fillet o' Fish burger buns. Everything else is lightly toasted on the inner side.

        • +1

Can also add HJs dont steam nothing. Used to be a manager. Pretty sure its maccas only that steams stuff by special request.

          • +3

@Gravehaunted: "HJs dont steam nothing"….So you're saying they do steam something?

            • @Pandaroo: He’s a fast food chain manager not an English teacher…

        • I remember over a decade ago, mcdonalds has this machine that looks like a toaster, you out the buns in the top and they gently roll out the bottom of the machine, freshly steamed. Maybe gently toasted, but so gently they feel steamed.

      • Didn’t realise steamed hams was real

    Happy Meals $4 @ McDonald's

    How much are they normally?

They're not really worth any more than that…

    • +10

Your forgetting the most important question . What is the toy ?
Besides that you can change the drink to a shake from the last experience hehe .

      • +2

Able to add a small shake for the drink, small coffee range seems to charge abit extra , e.g. $1.15 extra for the small capp. Via app

        • Piccolo only 30c extra and you get a coffee stamp

  • +48

I had one earlier today. I usually buy the happy meal over the cheeseburger meal because it is cheaper. If you can endure the indignity of having your meal served in a small house shaped Box then it's a great saving.$4 is even better.

    • +35

If you can endure the indignity of having your meal served in a small house

LOL… Ozbargainers have no shame when it comes to saving…

      • +24

        also commenting it seems

        • +8

          No, thats just jv.

    • Just buy a McDouble with a cup of water. The meal of champions. A mcDouble is a double cheeseburger with a single slice of cheese.

  • Spotted in Facebook group.

    Which group?

  • +1

I ordered happy meals a few times on Uber Eats using the coupons from Australian Open promotion, found it to be the best value. Swapping the drink for apple juice removed 80c, or you can get a shake at no extra charge. Can also swap the chips for garden salad which provides a more substantial and balanced meal IMO.

    • -1

      AO promo??

      • Haha you living under a rock? The coupons which they were giving out when the score was love.

who is negging? I did not neg you by the way..

    • swapping the drink to apple juice does not give me 80c discount

      • +1

        It did on uber eats

        • What about on the app?

  • +4

Hmm it says $4 but changes to $6.90 when added to cart (NSW).

    • "Return and Earn" scheme???

      • eww much ?
        :)

    • +1

      Same for me (VIC)

      • +6

Ah it goes up in price in the cart, then reverts back to $4 in checkout. Not at all confusing.

        • +3

Thanks. Yes you’re correct. It reverts back to $4 after checkout. Didn’t know that.

    • I ordered one in the drive through , $4. Must be a glitch with the app.

    • Same here in QLD, once I add a drink (even small water, juice, soft drink etc) it changes the price to $6.85

  • +3

Does anybody know if we will be getting the Pokémon happy meals?

    • -4

      Have you ordered them?

    • No we won't :(

    • +2

I can't speak to the Pokemon meals, but I can confirm this week's toy is SpongeBob themed.

      • +2

The next set is cups of Mr men and Little miss.

  • Which happy meal is the most worth?

      • +19

jv i think you are really trying too hard to be funny

        • +1

That’s how their comment quantity gets so high

    • +3

The chicken wrap, the Garden salad side and a thick shake as a drink will get you close

      • +1

        Garden salad side

You mean the sad lettuce rejects with a few cherry tomatoes?
I get that Macca is trying to promote a healthier alternative but that's not a salad..

        • +1

I must admit I've never had a salad from McDonald's.

I have seen other customers with small plastic containers which contain what looks like lettuce that's fallen out from the big Macs. I assume thats the salad. A bit cheeky for an RRP of $3.95.

        • +1

You don't make friends with salad!

  • looking forward to the day theres a fat tax on this crap food.

    • +1

But you'll continue to vote for tax avoidance to the tune of billions by the largest corporations in the world.

      It's the small things.

      • +1

NO I WONT LOL I DONT VOTE FOR LIBERAL RAPISTS

    • +1

Awfully bold to assume a tax will stop people eating 'bad'.

      It won't.

      • +1

        ITS WORKING IN THE UK

    • McDonald’s should be forced to offer water on their menu with the fact that it’s free with any other purchase clearly stated. Or make water the default drink option and people have to ask for soda.

      • I wouldn't be surprised if Coca-Cola has a worldwide contract stating Coca-Cola Classic has to be offered as the default option in all McValue Meals.

    • The prices for it are already pretty high, can easily spend $15-20 eating there :(

  • +2

    Normally $5.50 to $7.85

Odd last week they had been $4.95 in VIC!?

    • +1

There are differences in price from store to store, even in the same state. At least now it's $4 nationally.

  • -6

Oh my Lord Jesus Christ, why VIC only, that is downright racist!

    • +3

Nobody said it was VIC only?

      • +2

some people just don't bother to read

    • +1

Works fine in SA, have to click checkout to see the discounted price.

    • We've been through a lot. Need all the help we can get!

    • Who says VIC only?

      It's a national promo.

    • +1

      Racist?

    • Reread if you are able.

  • +1

The double beef and bacon small meal for $4.95 is still better value though.

    • +8

      no toy though lol

    • +1

In some ways yes, although you can get a small shake as the drink via Happy Meal at no extra cost. However with the small DBB meal it’s an extra $1.45. Decisions, decisions!

    • I'd rather have a chicken snack wrap and thickshake. Last time I got a double beef and bacon when I opened the wrapper it was literally dripping with grease.

    • Doesn't appear on my app, do you order in-store?

    • Great deal too

  • confirmed it worked in NsW too, anyway, not sure if swapping for small coffee would earn “5 for 1” free coffee credit?
