Costs about the same price as the can to fill it up these days

  • Thanks OP!! I've got one.

  • Thanks for posting, I was after a smaller fuel can for the mower and whipper snipper.

This seems like a good price. 35% off saving $10.

  • Got two, one for the 2 stroke one for the 4 stroke. The metal cans just rust out and are overall messy so these will be a great replacement, thanks OP.

EDIT: whats the difference between this and the 2 stroke one?

    • +6

I think it's just colour. Petrol is red, 2 stroke is green, diesel is yellow, water is blue.

good for garden tools, NOT for car petrol lol

    • +2

      Good for garden bonfires too

    • How so?

    • Why?

      • 5L back up petrol during a roadtrip is not much at all - rather get at least 10L.

        • +1

But,…..great to have on hand for emergencies on road trips all the same for people who don't want to carry heaps of fuel.

  • Nowhere near as good as the recent 50cent 5L cans from repco!

    • Nowhere near as good as the recent 50cent 5L cans from repco!

I tried and could not find any anywhere and I travel 350km stretch every 2 weeks so put in a wide range of postcodes.

Did manage to get some cheap bulbs on clearance tho.

Site seems to have gone down while I was ordering, now says currently unavailable and offers a '10OFF' 10% off coupon but only for full priced items.

    • Not sure of the reason for the downvote, I get the same message on mobile via 4g and pc on NBN.

      https://ibb.co/nrzLfDx

      • downvote was probably because they didnt agree with the 10% off being only for full price off item and should also apply to already discounted items…..wait how does one order online when the site is down for maintenance….?

        • Cheers, perhaps I phrased it poorly but that's what the message says shrug
Hopefully I can grab a couple online tomorrow, can't get to the store until the weekend.

  • Why are ppl saying this is no good for car fuel?

  • Good price for petrol can for garden.

What if your garden runs on 240v not petrol?

    • You can always burn the garden with petrol. 240v will be useless.

My garden runs on solar and water.

Don't know what weird things you guys have

  • +3

    I have this one.
Its decent and has a child type lock and spout is internal (keeps it clean).

I only use it to transport fuel from servo to home for lawnmower/whipper snipper/blower, but I only need 1-2 L so its extra capacity at 5L.

I used to use a metal 2L tin which sux, as it rusted and the pour spout was bad design.

    Hence, I recommend this one.

    WD-40 isn't a lubricant. Fight me.

    • yes it is….it's silicon spray that's light on….as far as I'm aware of, anything that requires non constant lubrication….and doesn't react to any chemical, not even petrol so you can empty this bottle out in your petrol tank and your car would still run like nothing happened….or is that CRC 808 and WD-40 specialist one? I forget which one…heh…

    • WD-40 isn't a lubricant.

Who cares. It works for many purposes. Buy it for a purpose, not the label?

  • anyone else seeing $14 for the fuel can?
