Hello all,
trying to figure out a better phone and a better deal between:
Google Pixel 4a 5G for $599

OR
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G 128GB 6GB for $550
They both should have NFC and good specs. Pixel seems to have a better processor but Samsung has a bigger battery (and a bigger screen that will offset the bigger battery).
The current situation is:
- We have a lot of USB C chargers at home so I think both should be compatible
- I usually tend to keep phones around 3-4 years before swapping
- I am a tad clumsy so the phone will have a screen protector and a case. being more sturdy also helps though
- Last 2-3 phones were xiaomi ( I really liked the android one experience)
I really hope you guys could throw in some opinions.
I got the Pixel 4a5G just after Christmas. The camera has been a real surprise and bonus for me. I just point and shoot, and using the portrait mode, my daughter has been amazed at the quality….much better than her iPhone :)
It comes with a fast charger….which is super fast …plus I also use my other chargers that we all have lying around!
Battery life has been great.
I bought a cheap case "Auto Focus, Ultimate Experience" with bonus screen protector off eBay…..for about $6 delivered. It was meant to be a temporary fix, as in true Ozbargain fashion, I was waiting for the Spigen cases to go on sale again, however it has proven to be really good, especially the screen protector.
