$10 Movie Tickets at Event Cinemas: Feb 1st - March 28th (Limit 2)

340
SUMMER

I know I'm jumping the gun abit here, but it's always good to have a heads up.

Found this in my email I received. Valid for Feb till end of March.

Redeem up to two Single movie tickets for $10 each.

Although there's still booking fees and excludes gold class. Extra charges for VMAX and 3d.

Good deal I guess since I just paid $65 for two movie tickets with snacks -_-;…

    http://www.eventcinemas.com.au/sessions?custParam=ctpurl=ryd…

Use that link, then type Rydges into the coupon box. INCLUDES VMAX.

    • Doesn't work for 3D though, but good pickup for VMAX movies, would be great for Sherlock in a few days!

    • Do you have to show Rydges ID or something though?

      • No

        • @melmac77: when i check on rydges website, it says that we need to show the membership card in order to redeem the tickets
          http://www.rydges.com/priorityGuest/rpgAbout-Program-Partner…

        • @nicknguyen news to me but no probs just use the optus hack instead definitely no ID required on that one. Once you are on the ticket number selection page of the event website change the address from =whatever to =optus hit enter and the $10 ticket option will appear.

Yes Tickets is better $10 all the time, goes at least until mid this year & no ticket limit. Can't use it after 5pm on Sat & public holidays. If you don't have an optus phone etc. go buy a $2 sim register it. Then use the number to sign up to yes tickets. Worth the effort.

A better way and I just know this will be ozbargained and they'll close the loophole but here goes,
when your on the ticket purchase page the web adress at the end says
      'https://www.eventcinemas.com.au..blah.blah.&bookingSource=web_home'
replace the webhome with Optus so the end of the address is bookingSource=Optus and voila cheap tickets :)

Doesn't work for me. Still $18.50 for adult.

        • -1

Because it's Valid for Feb till end of March.

        • @delfredo I assume you mean the optus link ? Did you put =Optus and then press enter to make the page reload when you do there should be an optus ticket option above the normal Aldult ticket option see pic on link

        • +4

It worked now! Woohoo.. I changed it to "=optus" instead of "=Optus".

      • ahaha - this is pure gold method for cheap tix - what a great find/security lapse ;)

      • +1

This still works and valid until 30 July 2012 - it's great as it's instant - booked 30 mins before the movie and picked up in the Priority pickup which is fantastic.

      • @melmac77: the optus trick doesn't work anymore, i've tried to put optus many times but the option didn't show up:(

        • You are right just checked they have changed it a usual ticket address looks like
          'https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/tickets/order/step2?sessionid=2466126&bookingsource=web_sessions'
          a cheap optus one is
          'https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/tickets/order/step2?sessionid=2465955&source=optus'

So just change the end of the address from bookingsource=whatever to source=optus

RACQ members can buy $10 or $9 tickets at the RACQ offices all year :D

  • +1

&bookingsouce=optus or &source=optus hack still works use the rydges link select the session then replace &xxxx at the end of the URL with one of the 2 above. Works with 3D movies $2 more

  • Indooroopilly event always has $10 tickets :)

Good deal for those that do not have local deals though

    • Lucky, my local event is stinging me $18+

  • it doesnt work ewhen i try it on sherlock movie

    • Feb 1st - March 28th (Limit 2)

  • Someone explain to me the $1.10 booking fee?

    Makes it 11.10 each now?

    • $1.10 is standard booking fee for paying for tickets online.

      $11.10 ($10 + $1.10) applies to VMAX sessions.
      $10 ($8.90 + $1.10) applies to standard sessions.
      $13 ($11.90 + $1.10) applies to 3D sessions.

  • no i meant the optus trick , it doesnt work on sherlock movie

    • I just tried the optus trick on sherlock and it worked make sure you are puting optus in all lower case

  • This (source=optus) has stopped working since Thursday 05/01/2012. Can anyone out there please confirm the same?

    • still works for me

    • Pleas note it won't work on tickets for Saturday after 5pm and needs to be entered in lowercase

Anyone know where I can still watch twilight breaking dawn part 1 in sydney not outdoors. It's seems to be only showing at 8:30 at moonlight cinema tonight. Why is it not showing any where else any other days.

  • Hello.. how do I purchase these tickets?
