Hey guys,

Was TV shopping and trying to decide between a couple of TVs for my new place. Was at Bing Lee in Casula and I saw the LG 55LW5700 for $1389. I bargained with them and got $1380. 5 Yr warranty was an extra $189 that I didn't go for. This was the cheapest I have seen it.

Not sure how long they are going for, but they got at least 6-7 left from what I saw of their back dock when I collected mine. Can upload receipt if needed :)

Called around. Hardly Normal refused to honor their 10% price beat (typical), they didnt even offer to match it, saying their price was final. JB offered me the exact same price, but I was already at BingLee so I decided to just go for that.

          I reckon the cashback offer from LG is over.

          As per the T&C

          ‘Promotional Period’ means 12:01am 23rd November 2011 AESDT - 11:59pm 24th December 2011 AESDT or until the limit of the respective Combo Cashback offers has been reached, whichever is earlier (as shown on the Promoter’s website counter).

    Been wanting this TV for a while now. Waiting for it to come down in price. But when I click on the link it shows $1648. Am I missing something or has it expired?

    You can put an offer to Bing Lee online and say what store you want to collect it from.

    Correct… the LG cashback will run until they are all issued. There is a "real time" counter on the LG site that shows how many CB's are remaining.

    I'm sweating for a sweet price on the 6500 200hz version.. it currently can be had for about $300 more than the 5700.

      The 6500 was $1789 at the same store….

      Couldn't justify the extra cost for only the 200Hz function

      edit: actually I am not sure, but it was $17xx in the higher range…..dont quote me on the 89 part

    $1000 for a 55 inch led lcd smart tv is ridiculous. really tempted to test out this price.
