I believe this is the cheapest price ever for this SSD.

If you don't include the eBay Plus $79 Flash Sale 😛

    • was just about to link that haha

    • deal with a 41 upset users? :)

  • I got it for $79 some while ago and forgot I had this, thanks for reminding me.

Will run my Raspberry Pi 4 on it.

    • is it hard to get SSD to boot up via Pi4 -seen some great arcade 1TB images that need to be booted on SSD drive but im a Pi noob and uncertain if complicated.

      • Use a small SD card for booting up. I wouldn't use SSD for this. Constant IO will damage the card eventually.

      • is it hard to get SSD to boot up via Pi4

        Not really.

        https://www.maketecheasier.com/boot-raspberry-pi-4-from-usb/

Source. Running a 500GB SSD on my raspberry pi 4 with retropi image.

      • Quite easy, need to first boot from an SD card to update everything and then change the boot sequence to USB first.

I just realised I already did all that with a WD Green in an enclosure so not gonna use this SSD for that.

Would this work for internal PC use?

    • It a 1tb 870 Evo inside.. better off buying that separately as with cash back it would cost just over $100

      • Got the link?

        • Correction: mSata 860 evo equivalent.
Source is from a quick google search with multiple forum posts reporting this.

    • Evo 860 1TB is ~$100 after Cashback.
I’m not sure you could remove the internal drive even if you wanted to but it’s definitely not worth it

    • T5 uses an mSATA 860 Evo SSD inside.
I've pulled apart a T5, and now use it's SSD in an 2013 Alienware 14 laptop as the boot drive. Works great.

  • Is there a 2tb one? For my ps5

    • Yes the T5 comes in 2TB variant

  • Been waiting to get another one! Thanks OP!

  • Signed up to ebay plus to get this deal only to immediately get locked out of my account…

    Nice one eBay.

  • Is it worth getting a ssd to backup my computer or is that overkill and I should just get a hdd?

  • Is this the best/ cheapest option for a decent SDD at the moment?

  • What sustained write speeds does this do?

  • Agh still not $99

  • This work on PS4?

  • I paid $108 for it…. When it was $128 at JN using after pay
