  • Thoughts on this as a 4-8 year old seat, as an upgrade to the Britax Millenia for 0-4 year old ?

    • +1

No. Give me a sec and I'll explain

I'm going through this right now because my parents want their car with car seats instead of using our car. Our daughter is 4.

      Look at childcarseats.com.au

All the forward facing seats suck.

Boosters seem to rate much better.

I don't know why. I'm going through the research right now..

Let me know what you find.

I actually just read a comment in the Car Seat Safety Australia group on FB and the commenters explain that the Standard is already super high for Type G seats but by comparison, the sandards are very low for boosters, so it is easy to exceed them.

Another commenter replied saying comparing Boosters to the Type G seats is like comparing apples and oranges - if you can, have a look at the group and do a search for the posts as they can explain it much better than me for why the boosters rate so much higher than the forward facing car seats.

        • Thanks. I'll have a look.

The testing criteria for forward and booster seats appear to be the same on childcarseats.com.au though.

        • Do you have a link? I joined the FB group but can't find the comments.

    • I went from Millena to this MGP

      great seat

    • Excellent seat! Don't think it has much competition. I've had three of these. My oldest moved to a booster (also britax) around 7 years.

  • Thanks OP. I didn't buy this (already have two) but I was after the thinner Graphene model and the code worked on that too.

  • Will this fit a ND MX5?

It’s for my 1 year old. Not for long journeys, just short trips when family car is not available.

    • Might be overkill (in price) if it's a backup seat? I'd recommend looking at the BabyLove Ezy Switch at less than half the price and has a slim profile (we had it for the in-laws car)

      • Cheers. It’s more fitment related I think is my problem. Not sure every car seat will fit in the mx5. I’m sure some do but not enough info anywhere even in mx5 forums.

    • better to go with other models which cater to 0-4 years, this car seat is for 0- 8yrs but useful above 2

      • Hi OP, thanks for sharing, can you elaborate the "choice gift card" you mentioned on your post? how do you use it on ebay? and where can we buy choice gift card that can be used with ebay voucher at the same time , for double stacking ?

        • Currently, there is a 5% cashback on digital choice gift cards on Cash rewards. you can use that gift card to pay on eBay. these can be used on top of vouchers from eBay

  • Only click and collect now for that colour. Pebble Grey seems OK for free delivery.

  • Killer deal. Thanks OP! Midnight navy also available for click and collect only.
