[eBay Plus] Google Pixel 5 5G (128GB/8GB) $849.14 Delivered @ Mobileciti eBay

230
PPLUSFLASH

Finally, my eBay Plus membership has paid off! I just bought this Pixel 5 using the PPLUSFLASH code to get 15% off, and used Cashrewards to get 5% cashback off Choice gift cards to make up the remainder. So in total I paid ~$807 delivered.

The only downside I can think is that since this is bought online, if there are any issues with the phone it would be more of a headache to return. Does anybody have any experience with Mobileciti regarding this?

Mobileciti is good - Im pretty sure they have a shop at Parra if you need to throw down

+1 for the use of 'throw down' rather than 'return'

$849 from Telstra for those without eBay Plus. Users have been price matching/beating at JB/Officeworks also if you prefered.

Tried to price match at OW, but they won't do it. However i went to JB today, and they happy price match on telstra website.

      • yes, perhaps I should have gone to JB instead and used my Suncorp Rewards to get 5% off… which means I would have paid the same and be holding it in my hand today.

  • To answer your original question OP, you'll have to contact Google for replacement.

I had the Pixel 3 and omg it was a headache to get a replacement.
Needed to post it back, went to HK, waited a few weeks, and a replacement was sent.

Within 6 months, that replacement had issues too.
Didn't want to wait again so bought a new s10 (at the time) and went through months of back and forths to get a full refund.

Apart from that, the phone was good!

If you purchase from Google Store and it's under warranty, they'll send you a new phone, before you have to send your old device back (advanced replacement):

      Advanced Replacement:
      • With this replacement, first we'll send you a email with the Pre-paid shipping labels & replacement cart link using which you can place the order.
      • Once you place the order, there'll be an authorization hold for the full price of the device.
      • As soon as you receive the device, you may test the device to see if it's working fine.
      • Once you test the device, you can go ahead and ship the defective device using the pre-paid shipping labels which will be sent over email.
      • The defective device you'll send will reach our warehouse team and they'll inspect the device and release the authorization hold so that the amount will be credited back to your account.
      • The replacement process may take anywhere from 2-7 business days.

      vs

      Standard Replacement:
      • With this replacement, we'll send you an email with the Pre-paid shipping labels & return instructions.
      • Once you send us the defective device using the pre-paid shipping labels, it reaches our warehouse team.
      • Our warehouse team will inspect the package and ship a replacement device.
      • Once the replacement device is shipped, you'll receive an email with the tracking details.

      • Can confirm the above re: Google Store returns. I experienced it with my 2XL when the audio jack/port stopped working. They did some checks on my phone over the web and decided (during that call) that it needed to be replaced. That was 23 months from date of purchase. I was without a phone for just 2 days and I live in Newcastle.

    • I see - well hopefully mine is issue-free…! Thanks

    • I got mine yesterday, too. It's working great so far :)
