Decent price for a quad core homelab solution.

  • What's the special part of this ram?

    • Not really special, but its usually the voltage that gets people in to trouble.

      • Thanks I didn't see the voltage just so-dims

  • +3

Have this and I absolutely love it as my 24/7 simple NAS machine. testing with kW meter, it idles at ~4-7 watt/hr for windows OS (16gb ram 1TB SSD, no nvme yet), and idle ~2-3 watt/hr on mint Linux OS.

A low power on idle machine that's more than capable of doing moderately CPU heavy stuff (for a High Wh) on demand at this price gets a big approval tick for me as a backup copy machine.

  • That's a very good CPU for the price. Tempting.

  • that is a kickass price, I paid 380 for it a couple of months back and I thought that was cheap
