My old phone died and I had to grab a new phone urgently as I'm on call for work. Officeworks nearby had the Motorola G 5G Plus in stock, I looked for cheaper and found it on PB tech for $457 delivered so was able to get price beat for $434.15 plus another 5% off using discounted gift cards

This phone is thicker then my mongrel dog.

    • You haven't tried thick until you've held a rugged phone. Try 18.7mm for thickness lol

This has less memory and half the storage. For $20 more, the more ram and 128gb version is a much better offering.

      • Cheers. My bad, I'll update the title to show it's the 128gb version

I've been waiting to see a deal on this particular phone. I go out shopping on Thursday tomorrow so I'll copy the webpage/price and try my luck at my local store. $435 down from $499 everywhere else is quite a good deal. Thanks OP.

    • I price matched over the phone using Officeworks 1300 number and organised click and collect, the only trouble I had was they initially were trying to back out of it because it doesn't explicitly say it's unlocked on PB Techs website but I argued the point that it didn't say it was locked either and seeing it wasn't being sold by a service provider it was a fair and reasonable assumption that it was unlocked.

      • I googled Officeworks Price Match Guarantee (https://www.officeworks.com.au/information/policies/price-be…), and it outlines very well how it works. You are eligible for any item, even if on sale, as long as its In Stock. And that includes AUS websites. They match it then take an additional 5% off.
I think workers just get lazy and try get out of it to not bother to be honest. If you have good Barter skills or just calmly show them their own terms and you're not in the wrong, they tend to bend to it. Its more being overprotective because they get a lot of customers who try screw them over or they just get complacent.
