Just bought Roborock S6 MaxV for $863 ($909 before gift card discounts), but I am not able to publish a deal on ozbargain because they do not have a lot left.
It is better than subject. Just some food to thought.

I also like the look of the S6 MaxV (have a faithful S50 already), but have been hesitant due the issue people have had with the brush not spinning on carpet:
      https://amp.reddit.com/r/Roborock/comments/jeuzb8/how_to_che…

      • I have seen that post. I do not have extremely fluffy carpets and also this was not reproduced in reviews and many independent feedbacks from real owners.

        • My S6 MaxV has this problem, and it also doesn’t avoid obstacles like you would expect. Most people wouldn’t know given the brush is under the robot. You need to look through the dustbin to see it stall over carpet. I have pretty low pile carpet too.

Roborock warranty and support are possibly the worst I’ve ever come across. They try so hard to avoid warranty. I won’t be buying a Roborock again.

    • I really like the s6, but I would pay extra to get a quieter vac anyday.

      • Lower noise?.. Hmmm hmmm

Roborock says it runs at 67dB in Balanced mode (or about the same volume as classroom chatter, according to OSHA)

Deebot Noise levels – PASS. It ranges from 62dB to 68dB with the Oscillating mop attachment. It is slightly noisier than other premium robovacs.

        • Yep every decibel less makes a huge difference. Balanced mode wasn’t enough to do my carpet, so ends up significantly louder.

    • Which retailer?

Bought one from Amazon last week for 1373 with the auto empty station and a free set of replacement brush kit. Very happy with it so far.

  • The T8 will correctly differentiate between surfaces so you don't mop your carpet.
The S6 allegedly doesn't distinguish between surface types in the app.
For those looking for any niggling differences between the two.

    • What is the T8? Do you have a link to share?

The one linked by OP. Deebot.
This and the S6 are kind of matched in a similar price/feature set.

T8 Aivi+ (i.e.T8 Aivi and Auto emptying station) is $1,016 on Good Guys commercial!!

    • Can you check your model ?

I just check the good guys commercial and its the t8+ and not the t8 aivi so it's a lower model without the camera.

      • Exactly. It is only the T8+ available from Good Guys Commercial. Good Guys don't carry the T8 AIVI. The T8 and T8 AIVI differ in a few features. These have only been available so far seperatly.

  • Bought a Ecovac Deebot 950 (know its a lower model) brought it home, didnt go up on rugs, and stopped in the middle of the carpet, it would also only map the kitchen and then say it had mapped the whole house. Troubleshooted for weeks, ended up taking it back to JB and getting a Eufy L70. Instantly works and no problems whatsoever.

  • Is it worth buying the self emptying station separately? Or does it work out better to just buy the system combined? I see Amazon have it for $1299.

    • On Amazon it is only the T8 AIVI for $1299. Cheaper to get it for $999 from this JB Deal.

The cheapest for both the the T8 AIVI and Auto Empty Station was $1278 from JB HiFi back in November. That was when the 15% discount cards deal was going from Coles meaning the set would of cost $1086.30 total.

      • I read this to understand it includes the auto empty station? https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08FCQ1Z6Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_f…

Just read the comment again. It’s not the T8 avivi model 👍

        • Yeah that's just the T8+ which is also excellent, however you can get that from GG Commercial for $1016 or from Ebay a few weeks ago for $1078. So wait for a deal on the T8+ if you want one.

  • For a moment I thought this was the $99 deal that’s back
