Is it still unplayable on PS4?

    • Also curious

    • +8

      Yeh pretty much

    • +6

I stop playing it after the first patch broke the game (again). They hotfixed it, but I am not going to bother picking it up again until they finish rolling out the second major patch (end of March estimate) at the earliest. Its not going to raise in price, so if you are planning on buying it I would wait until they fix it (if it is fixable for ps4/xb1 - which is debatable).

      • +3

it's not going to raise in price

I though the same thing about No Man's Sky

        • +2

Yeah, true, NMS is the gold standard in video game comebacks though it still doesn't sell for anywhere near what it did at launch. I would love for Cyberpunk to go that way, but its problems are less about the size of the team (Hello Games is smol!) and more about limitations of hardware paired with CDPR execs rushing an unfinished product out the door in the hopes of pushing multiplayer sooner and getting the sweet 'GTA5' cash. I don't know if Cyberpunk will replicate NMS's redemption (which took around 3 years from release) or will end up going the way of Anthem and be "supported'' without updates. Either way, it is never going to sell for $70 AUD on a PS4/XB1 again.

it's unplayable on my ps5 let alone ps4

    • Yes, I wouldn’t bother with it unless you have a current gen console.

  • +2

Realistically, it's still in a really rough shape. I personally loved the gameplay - however, the relatively frequent crashes (avg. 1/hour on PS5) made it a drag to play.

  • +7

    what a rubbish game!

    • Interested to know, what platform did you play it on?

      • +1

        Stadia.

        • Which from what I hear was the best platform to play this game on. Somehow the platform performed way better than others for this particular game.

  • Should be free.

  • +8

You'd think after the Fallout76 fiasco, game developers would have learned how NOT to break your brand name in half for the sake of short term greed.

    Clearly not.

    • +5

They will never learn. Can't wait for the next broken game.

    • I think its more so the shareholders than the developers themself

    • I don’t think it was short term greed, as the devs would have kept on developing but after multiple release date extensions from the original launch date, corporate drew a line in the sand. What was the development time? Five years? There was immense pressure to get it to market by the end. Who knows what was truly going on at CD Projekt Red…

Have some heart for the sweat and tears the devs put into it. Eventually it will be terrific. I won’t look at it until then.

Remember when No Mans Sky launched? Highly anticipated, but was terrible. Several years later - got a 2020 game of the year award as the devs stuck with it.

  • +1

    Yeh nah

  • +3

Pretty terrible game. Thought I'd play a bit more this week on my Xbox Series X. Bugs everywhere, UI issues, and just feels half finished. Really unfortunate because it had so much potential.

  • +5

Don't waste your money on this game its not worth it.

  • +2

ive got it on a pc with a 3080 and play on ultra 3440x1440. Can't say ive even encountered a bug let alone something broken where i can't continue. It's boring as hell though. The combat and gameplay is clunky

    • +11

you have a 3080? fake news

      • +1

        All hail Ozbargain techfast deals!

    • +1

The game was developed and tested on pc as priority before consoles even though cpr said it was designed for all platforms.

Pc version had the least bugs.

  • +4

    $49.99 too much

  • +4

heaps for sale on market place for $30.
I wouldn't pay $50 for this garbage fire that is buggier than an ant hill covered in bees.

  • +2

Hmm I’ll wait until it inevitably hits gamepass… hopefully by then they improve it..

  • +1

The only game where I noclipped through the map without trying.

  • Also available in WA for the same price.

  • Do you have a PC, it's way better on that. My PS4 version was left in shrink wrap.

  • +1

Not bad considering just heard from project red that the series x upadated version would definitely be complete by 2077.

  • I've never played this but I've heard it's not as bad on ps5. I'll wait for it to go free on Epic :D

  • $4.99 is more appropriate
