  • Thanks Bought 2

Does anyone pay more than 30 for these brands

    • +12

I don't think anyone pays anything for any new shirts lately. Haven't had to use shirts in over a year now. Even the one day a week that the office has asked us to come back, it's casual. Really hope I haven't grown out of my business shirts

  • +3

Couldn't see anything by looking and searching, but i take it none of these brands do a non-iron range?

    • +2

      That's what I want too!

    • +2

The ones with 60% cotton / 40% polyester dry relatively crease-free if you hang out properly. Usually I just give mine a very light steam

Better off getting them for $40 each from TM Lewin or Charles Tyrwhitt during a sale (or with codes which are often available), as there is a big difference in quality.

    • Please explain about the quality. How does that differ from CK?

      • +7

Haven't wore CK shirts before. But compared to VH and Blaq, CT shirts feel better and last longer too. My last batch of CT shirts I bought was 2 years ago and it's still going strong. I get the non-iron ones

        • +2

CT shirts are thin in the white range. just be wary.

But remember these shirts are on sale at a 25% price reduction to CT shirts, so they are still worth some consideration.

If they were both $40, then CT would be the option, only because you can return and return until you get the right fit for you.

      • +1

Longer lasting, better feel, I would also say the "non iron" shirts can genuinely be non iron unlike most brands, still need to put them in the dryer with a wet cloth though.

        • Why dryer 'with a wet cloth'? How's your experience between CT and TM Lewin? My TM Lewin shirts fit me perfectly including sleeves, but if I do a tape measurement of CT as I haven't gotten it, the shirts looks just a tad big.

          • @PeeDee: Dryer with a small wet cloth for 20 minutes or so removes wrinkles from a shirt and can be a substitute for ironing with a good non iron shirt, however it doesn't work well enough with a really wrinkled shirt.

Agree CT a tad bigger if ordered at the same size.

            • @acersaurus: The trade off, would you rather wear TM and have it perfectly fit you or CT for the quality and not perfectly fit you?

              • @PeeDee: TM I guess, as they are both similar quality levels.

    • How good is Jeff banks?

If only I hadn't bought heaps of shirts last April when they were super cheap. I've worn a shirt once since then.

    • Be great if people could explain their neg votes…

Thanks mate, running to the store now!

    • Did you reach?

  • struggling to do click and collect. anyone else?

    Don't forget shopback!

Sorry, how to decide the size? I believe it's not the pack and can't not by tried before purchase?

    • huh? there is a size guide which goes as far as recommending sizes based on other brands which fitted you, and you can even go into the store and try them on if you wish?!?!? I'm not sure what you expect….

      • Thanks, sorry about my spelling, if I am allowed to try it then should be no problem, thanks

  • +5

I’ve tried all of these brands in store and they all fit differently despite having the same measurements. Definitely wouldn’t blind buy online.

I wish this deal wasn’t on a Sunday, really can’t be bothered driving out.

    • I see, thats why buying this kind of t shirt, it's better to try in store first .

    • +2

Yeah shirts are a huge bloody gamble to buy online. I've found that very, very few off the rack shirts fit me well due to being both lean and having weight trained for the better part of a decade, so i'm forced to screw around trying on 34 different shirts in store to find one that fits me.

      • +2

I’m in the same boat. The only decent fitting ones I’ve found were CK (super?) slim fit shirts, I think they were Egyptian cotton. Wide enough up top to not be too restrictive and narrow down the bottom to tuck well without looking like there’s too much material for us v shaped blokes

      • +2

Likewise, don't really enjoy clothes shopping too and just can't find a standard size that works for me so pretty annoying. First world problems I guess…

  • Very Nice deal mate.

Thanks OP..needed a couple of new shirts

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought 2. Free delivery as well.

I have so many shirts in my closet…. but I'm too far for them right now. Not a solution from Myer unfortunately.

  • oh goody good good all the XXS and XXL only nothing in between

  • +1

Thanks op! Got a Pierre Cardin. Never owned one before so will be interested to see the difference between this and TM Lewin / Charles Tyrwhitt.

  • Did anyone else have their order cancelled?

    • ordered 2 ck. Just got cancel. Disappointed with it.
