  • That's identical to the Kogan one I picked up in 2018 for $50.
Seen a fair few other copies around too, for far cheaper than $66.

  • +1

Great charger. Note that this is also identical to the Shintaro one sold by ht.com.au in the past for $35+shipping. Only difference in the mBeat comes with a nice, thin, silky protective drawstring bag.

    • The Shintaro are basically discontinued and can't be found for close to $35 + Shipping.

    • They are a rebranded LVSUN charger.

The good sellers include laptop charging tips so you can charge any laptop with the charger from a USB port.

      • Thanks, how did you find the OEM?

        • I found them years ago when I wanted to buy a few at once.
I think an eBay seller used the LVSUN images and forgot to blank the LVSUN logo in one of the images.

  • I've had the Shintaro one for a little over a year but it no longer works. Was nice while it lasted though!

    • Sounds identical to my experience with the Kogan branded one.

      • Yeah one day the USB-C output died then a few days later all ports died.

    • One my my USB-A ports died after 2 years, the rest are still hanging on. Love being able to charge a laptop out of USB-A.

  • How many Wh?

    • It's just a power supply, not a battery.

      • Thanks. Following dan Andrews advice too much

  • I had one of these and it’s great. But after 8 months or so 3 of the USB ports died and I had to return it. I saw similar comments from users with the same experience. Otherwise it’s a great little unit.

Got this instead now. So far so good.

  • Not sure what i would use all those QC 3.0 ports for, QC is kind of obsolete these days, all the last couple of Gen phones and devices use PD instead.

  • I have bought a few of these at full price, and so far all have been reliable.
These make a perfect bedside charger, as you can stick them to the side or bottom of a cabinet and they remain out of the way. The 240V power cord means the block can be kept close to the devices being charged, so you can keep the USB cables relatively short.

When I was researching, it was the best of a bunch that would offer a decently powerful PD port in addition to QC3 USBA ports.

Since then, I fell down the Kickstarter GaN charger rabbithole, and have obtained a handful of other0brand wall-plug 66W and 100W chargers for travel.

  • Any way to convert USB-C to a regular laptop charger plug? … Mine runs on 18V and it's real hard to find a power bank, especially one that can output 60W.

    • I use this with one of these tips

      • You're kidding me - and it works okay? How do you set the voltage?

        • Yeah works on my Asus laptop that needs 19V. The voltage is set according to the tip you use. Doesn't charge as fast as the OEM charger though. But it's what I take when I travel.

      • Does this work with any USB-PD charger?
