Ozito PXC 18v Cordless 5 Piece Kit inc. Charger & 2 x 4.0Ah Batteries - $249 @ Bunnings

2230

Latest Ozito package deal, presumably costed to price-match current or upcoming Aldi deal.

Ozito PXC 18V Cordless 5 Piece Kit includes;

  • 18V 13mm Drill Driver
  • 18V Impact Driver
  • 18V 165mm Circular Saw
  • 18V 115mm Angle Grinder
  • 18V Detail Sander
  • 2 x 4.0Ah Li-Ion batteries
  • Compact Fast Charger

The drills are the non-brushless variety, so beyond basic timber drilling, DIY work or mounting The Kramer (www.ebay.com.au/itm/331932894607), will likely not be capable of too much heavy lifting, but the inclusion of two of Ozito's larger 4.0Ah batteries and the well-rated circular saw and angle grinder suggest a good deal for anyone already in the PXC eco-system and looking for some good cheap, cordless gear and value batteries.

Hope someone sees some value in it - I'll grab a set on my way home and see how it looks. After my previous deals got veto'd by a particuarly boring mod, I won't be indulging any further elaborate descriptions, jokes or tough torque…

  • After checking my 3 local Bunnings this morning, there was very little stock available when this promo launched on Saturday. Bunnings Sunbury only had 4 units which sold out in 30 minutes.

The Tool Shop dude checked all the stores in the Western Suburbs (Melbourne) and they all had zero stock available.

So it looks like this deal is already done …….

    • Hardly. Four out of my five nearest stores in the Camden area show as in stock and one as limited stock.

There's plenty out there if the two dozen on display at Penrith are any suggestion.

      • I can tell you there is no stock at 3 VIC stores that I checked personally and according to the tool shop there was no stock in the surrounding stores.

Maybe NSW got in first, seems strange that there are 24 units available at a single location and the largest store in my area has none?

Are you seeing this online (stock levels)? The deal isn't showing on the Bunnings website here in VIC.

I've done some digging. If I change my store location to Penrith, I can find the kit on the Bunnings website.

          https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-cordless-5-piece-k…

If I then change my store to a VIC store, the above link reverts to the "Our Range" page. So not available in VIC.

            @dtn72: Hopefully it's just a logistics/timing issue and they'll hit Vic shortly.

I've always thought it weird that Bunnings will only allow you to organise delivery if your local store has it in stock. Surely the whole point of purchasing online is that you can source items which you can't purchase in person…

VIC is different for this item from NSW. Actually, if you're in VIC and click on the link, bunnings will redirect to the page https://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range, and cannot see the item page at all.

Picked one from Caroline Springs today and they had few stocks there.

Looks like VIC stock is trickling in, Bunnings in Bendigo got 4 in yesterday (and now 3 as my name is on one)!

Thanks for the heads up on this, I actually bought the pieces I wanted (saw, grinder, sander, fast charger, and 1 4a battery) for $278 so this deal is a bargain with the extra battery AND 2 drills!!

  • Any link to the Aldi deal, if they haven't put one up already…

  • Not available on VIC

Thanks @dtn72, I just picked up mine from Bunnings Mentone. Had to be unpacked off the pallet as it just recently arrived and wasn't yet on the floor.

So VIC is now definitely getting stock :)

  • Does anyone know if the batteries that come with this are compatible with the Ozito Electric Lawn Mowers? Thanks

    • +1

Yep. 2 x 4.0Ah. Good size for a mobile tool kit and second largest available after the 5.2Ah, I believe.

Thanks UncleRico. Just bought this kit to get some starter tools and batteries. Looking forward to when the 2x18V steeldeck electric mower returns!

Plenty of stock in WA lol

I put the angle grinder and saw too good use and I have no complaints with them, they are not dewalt nor are they priced like dewalt but the do the job

I did get a problem with the angle grinder switch but it just needs "adjusting" inside :) 2 minute job.

    • Do you mind me asking what you adjusted? Just got the pack today

Just picked up this kit in Oakleigh Vic for $199, it's on clearance. There were only two on the front desk in the tools section.

    • dang, I though my $219 is already the best deal :)

      • +1

Yea I went in expecting to pay $250 and was tossing up if I should just buy the circular saw on its own or not (didn't NEED) the other tools but when I saw the two on the front desk for $199 It was a no brainer.

  • I bought one today at Eltham VIC, there are two left on the shelf. when I try the combo kits, I cant fit the 4.0ah battery into detail sander.
    anyone has same issue?

    • +1

      Yep, everyone.

As noted above and in the detail sander instructions, you have to remove the dust collector and plug in a vacuum hose or have it spew on the floor to fit the 4.0Ah batteries.

2.5Ah and smaller batteries allow you to keep the plastic dust bin attached.
