  • Would this be good for a 4*3 room?

    • +2

Throw ratio of 1.53. This means at 3.6m distance (allow for the depth of the projector itself) you can get yourself a ~2.4m wide image, which would cover most of your 3m wall. Can move it closer to make the image smaller. So… yes?

      • And you can resize image upto 75 percent from 100 percent from setting too. So you dont have to move your projecter closer to wall.

        • +1

I believe that would be digital resizing though, so you wouldn't be running at the native resolution if you did that? Probably not a major difference, but worth trying to avoid it if you can.

@Alzori: For what I have tested, the picture quality doesnot affect. Its still clear and good. You can test and calibre it from that youtube reviewers instructions. So far I am happy with it. I onced turned it on for almost 10 hours to test and it functions well.

    • Yes

      Surely you’d need a 16*9 room?

      • Shoot the image towards the ceiling for the perfect ratio huh?

  • What screen or sound system do you recommend with this? Room size is 3.6x3.9m.

    • For the screen, go for blitzwolf vs1 and its always happen to be in sale. I paid around 95$ and its 100 inch screen. Really happy with it. But check first the dimensions, its really huge.

Anyone ever bought this, found it’s not as good as they thought, and then returned it? I know it says “partial refund” but how strict are they regarding returns?

    • Also curious.
This seems like a decent product to throw in the backyard, and have sound come out of a portable bluetooth speaker. For those nights when the mozzies leave you alone, of course.

    • i had a 720p projector. was glad to go back to TV in the end. This is slightly better, though. if you need size over quantity, then projector is best for the money for sure

      • +4

        need size over quantity,

        Quantity or quality?

    • Banggood are terrible at returns

    • I bought one last deal but wanted to return the item. I messaged customer service and although the item posted from Australia, return address was in China. I ended up selling it on gumtree instead due to return postage costs. That being said, 1080p native resolution on the projector (Xiaomi Mi Projector) I have now is actually quite good! Almost using it more than our 4k tv due to image size.

I highly recommend it. I am using this from couple of weeks and really impressed. I am using blitzwolf vs1 screen to project the screen. Colours are good and really clear. I first brought the blitzwolf vp9 and returned it due to manufacturer defects. If anyone want to ask anything, plz ask me.
And with the help of pd usb c hub, i connect my Galaxy note 9 through hdmi, and a usb wireless mouse. The phone automatically goes to samsung derx mode. And really enjoying all the application from my phone to the big screen. Please do not buy android box if you have a galaxy phone s8 and upward.

    • Also using google home max speaker that is connected to my phone through Bluetooth.

        Thanks for making me 😂

  • How noisey is the fan on this bad boy?

    • -1

I don't own it but in the projector ranking I linked it's quoted as 41dBa.

    • I used the mobile software to test the noise and I am getting 38 to 41 db from around a feet. However, when watching, you hardly heard any fan noise.

      • Warms your feet too now it's getting colder.

    • +2

      Fan is barely noticeable.
Audio quality from internal speaker is really terrible.

Just a warning that Banggood are terrible at resolving issues if you are unlucky. Support is next to useless with broken english.

I bought this and it has a large black dot/strike on the lower right. Banggood wont exchange so I am starring at this black dot and living with it. Lucky it wasn’t expensive, if there wasn’t any issues, a good projector for its price.

    • That's what puts me off buying from Banggood. That and the huge number of people whos projector arrives with a cracked lens !!!

Amazon AU, Kogan (Dick Smith) and a few other stores based in Australia sell the same brands (Vivibright, blitzwolf) but they are anywhere from $100-$200 more than Banggood.
      It's a gamble for sure.

Just a suggestion, if you used PayPal, open a. Dispute. I first brought the vp9 and its not good so have to return it. Opened a case in paypal and Banggood contacted with in hours and refund the shipping cost too. As soon as I send the projector. They gave me full refund and the shipping fee too. So I am happy with their return policy.
So, it better use PayPal so that you can return the defective projector in future if needed.

Dam didnt know about this. Should have gone that route. Guess they only respond to threats though..

  • 500 lumens or 5,000?

    500 is too low…

    • Its 6500 luminous and 500 NSI brightness. You can watch the youtube review to check the brightness
. At night time its good, but at day time, you have make the room dark to watch anything decent.

Mine took almost 2 months to arrive (out of stock) however Banggood kept advertising it while apparently having no stock.
Aside from the unreasonable wait, I am otherwise happy with this projector.

  • Does this have a lamp that needs replacing after a while?

    • I think the led lap will last upto 30000 hours. So I am hoping it will last for few years.

  • I have one of these and am unable to use the Chromecast buttons to control the projector power/volume as Blitzwolf isn't an option in Google. Does anyone know of a compatible brand with Blitzwolf remotes? Any other way to make it work?

    • Something programmable. Blackbean, if you have a smart speaker, can be had for around $20. You could also use your phone.

  • Can I plug in my Xbox to this?

    • As you can use any device with hdmi, you can definitely use xbox and i think they also mentioned in their product descriptions too.

  • Is this good for outside or is it to light?

  • +1

Coupon no longer available. Says it's been used for more than 20 times.

    • Yep, looks like this deal is no longer available =/

  • vp3 vs vp6?

  • +1

For projector noobs, projectors do give you the wow factor and is great when you have friends and family come over but as of 2021, no projector less than $10k aud even comes close to a basic $1000 TV in picture quality so don't buy it as a TV replacement. I know this by mistake when my AV receiver switched on my 2010 Panasonic plasma TV and my $3500 4K BenQ projector at the same time. I thought the BenQ projector was so clear and amazing in picture quality until my 13 year old plasma TV switched on.

    • You would get a projector because you want a big screen. A 100-120” LED tv would cost more than a projector.
But yeah if you have a small room, an OLED TV makes more sense.
