            @polarq: the expiry date and how close is it, I assume.

            There have been specials in the past for varying thing either actually expired or very close to that state.

    I just received delivery today on a jar I ordered at the $16 price. The Gold Seal was broken on the lid and the lid was raised. The jar and lid were encased in like a shrink wrapped cellophane. The Amazon box was unopened on arrival and completely undamaged. Obviously shipped like that. I have received a credit for it and reordered at the new price.

      i received mine today.
      came in a perfect fit box
      no cushion in the box but the jar has extra plastic seal as compared to coles/woolies version
      no chip on jar or broken seal..
      pretty happy with the quality

      The standard medium roast one is awful since they reformulated it a couple years ago…the dark roast one is much nicer. My fav. one is #3 french style but only comes in 200g jars.

      Yeah but coffee once opened goes off I find…..loses its initial rich rounded flavour. I stick to smaller jars. All comes down to how much one drinks I suppose.
      Also comes does to how it was stored and also use by dates.

        Yeah but i'm only gona open one jar at a time? It'd assume keeping it cooler/in the dark could prolong the quality too but it's hard to say. I will try to notice any degradation over the consumption on the jars but honestly i think i'm a reverse coffee snob, pretty much all of it tastes the same to me or i get roughly the same enjoyment out of it regardless of quality. Not sure why, i strongly judge other foods and have prefrences on quality but coffee has never mattered too me much, i honestly think i'm in it for the caffeine buzz more than the drink itself. And yes i have just bought bags of pure caffeine power in the past.

        Because it tastes terrible and it's not hard to make a proper coffee from freshly ground coffee. You can simply boil fresh coffee in water for a Turkish style coffee. No machine needed.

          I grind and make my own coffee in the morning but I find I can only have 1 per day. I use the instant coffee for a slight caffeine pick-me-up in the arvo. Plus it is super convenient.

        Its a coffee snob thing, used to drink instant but dont think I could ever really go back to it with that yucky aftertaste it has. Also makes travelling really hard when going to places like North America where all they got is shitty coffee.
