[eBay Plus] Esatto 7kg Heat Pump Dryer EHPD7 $569 Delivered @ Appliances Online eBay

130
PLUSSS1

Great price for a heat pump dryer. This has already been discounted here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/610431 but it brings it down further with the code.

This unit sells at Bunnings for $834.

Dryers types:
Vented: Cheap to buy but expensive to run. It expels moisture into the air so not ideal for closed rooms.
Pros - Can be mounted, fairly low maintenance
Cons - Expensive to run, room needs good ventilation

Condenser: Collects water into a tank or expelled via a hose. Generates more heat so faster to dry.
Pros - Larger capacity, quick to dry
Cons - Can not be mounted, need to manage water output, harsher with clothes

Heat pump: Latest technology, it recycles hot air back into the drum so it is much more energy efficient.
Pros - Eco friendly (6 star rating), no venting, more gentle on clothes
Cons - More expensive to buy, noisier than condensers, can not be mounted

This is sold by AppliancesOnline so they offer free removal of your existing dryer.

      Ah Afterpay it is!

Which one is it for the Vented?

    • it should be cheap to buy, expensive to run

  • Good price. I have one and it works very well. Pretty happy with it so far!

Another con is that the drying cycle generally tends to take longer, and you need to remember to empty out the water tray.

  • Is this stackable on other brands washing machines like Bosch?

    • As long as you washing machine is larger or equal the size, put a mat, you are good to stack.

  • Exactly how much electricity does this use per full load? The best answer I can find from its specs as well as it's rating on the energy website, that if it's 160 KWH per year at once per week, that's 3 KWH per load. That's the same as a conventional tumble dryer…

    • Best I can tell, the Esatto requires less drying time than a conventional, so whilst it uses the same amount you're running it for shorter times. I run mine for much less time than my old dryer.

    • You could equally argue (on that logic) that if you ran it 7x per week, you would only be using 3/7 kWh per load… they probably base it on running it more than once per week.
